I really want to see the combined orbital cannon for Astrotrain its bugging me its not been shown.

Im surprised they didnt showcase his armor or his combined cannon as well…. Im kinda meh on one of my favorite characters and hes doing everything right.

Those people should never be trusted aa judges of what makes a good figure.
The claim is one of the most ridiculous I've read in this fandom. And that's saying something.

It depends on what grounds they are being judged as. They are better figures but less solid weapons. Weapon mode on the lg targetmasters is inferior to siege battlemasters, but siege battlemasters have inferior bot modes

People have been saying the TT LG Targetmaster weapons were inferior since before the Siege Battlemasters even came out.

Those people should never be trusted aa judges of what makes a good figure.

Trust me, Ihave 5 of those Takara molds and am selling them off now. They may look more distinct and have more articulation as robots, but are terrible in weapon mode. The legs and arms often don't clip together, and just hang there, while the hasbro ones clip into a solid compact gun.

People have been saying the TT LG Targetmaster weapons were inferior since before the Siege Battlemasters even came out. Clipped limbs? Seriously? For toys that like 80% of the buyers will just leave on a shelf for a year or two untouched? If they even ever come out of the package.

It's all personal opinion/bias of course. I'm collecting both however. :/

Pinpointer comes with G2 Sideswipe and Grandslam, called Trenchmouth now.
Fracas (Scourge's partner) and Hairsplitter (now called something else) come with Skywarp.
So yeah as that poster above said, you need to keep up with the reveals.

In fact, not until wave 5 has there been any target masters with their accompanying companion packaged together.

There are no figures of Targetmaster characters coming out that include their Targetmaster partners. Even the packs you're referring to (which do not include Targetmaster characters, but do include larger figures and Battlemasters in one package) are not part of Wave 5 – they're not part of any wave.

I am aware of all the reveals. There is no figure coming out in a retail wave that includes a Battlemaster.

Barricade looks awesome, but I haven't seen any information about him. Do we know anything such as release date, exclusivity, or pre-orders?

If I understand your question, no. If you build a BW figure to scale in bot mode the alt mode would be in scale as well.

Right. It was mentioned specifically in the show that their beast modes were not always real-word accurate in size. Waspinator was always a giant wasp.

I wasn't sure exactly what wave the recent reveals are in. Crosshairs does not include his Targetmaster partner, so again, I'm not sure what you're talking about regarding figures including them.

And many people colloquially refer to Targetmaster partners as Targetmasters – same with Headmasters and Powermasters. You know that they were referring to Targetmaster partners.

The one complaint I have is the target master recolors. It would have been nice if Hasbro introduced at least two more molds. Takara did way better with Legends the year before; it’s too bad we didn’t get those. I encourage anyone who loves target masters to look at the Legends line for more accurate ones. Firedrive, Aimless/Blowpipe, and ‘Rebirth’ Caliburst are the only Siege ones that are actually their characters.

Trust me, Ihave 5 of those Takara molds and am selling them off now. They may look more distinct and have more articulation as robots, but are terrible in weapon mode. And I love the way you can remove the guns from the back and add on the arms for the Hasbro battlemasters. I did comparison pics with Misfire amd Triggerhappy if anyone is interested.

G1 was eight years long in America. Longer in other countries. And almost every toy was a new character, with very few being a character’s second toy with a new gimmick or size that is common today.

It was inconceivable ten years ago that Hasbro would ever redo G1, but here we are and there are not that many characters left who don’t yet have a modern toy in some form or other; the majority remaining being Micro Masters, Pretenders and Action Masters.

Complaining Transformers is focusing too much in G1 is like complaining Star Wars is focusing too much on the original trilogy of movies.

Too true! We are still just getting to 1989 micromasters and 1988 double targetmasters. Now we move on to 1990 micromaster combiners, and I expect a few Action Master hommages (but transforming) like Banzai-tron, Rad, Jackpot, Rollout. Then comes 2021 for the 1991 EU stuff like Turbomasters and Predators, Motorvators, maybe a Titan class Overlord… :D

Thanks hasbro. Between you and all the third party combiners there goes all my vacation money. Worth it keep up the good work. Not too sold on the astrotrain head sculpt but maybe it will grow on me

I believe it's been confirmed that the other cockpit folds up underneath the copter.

Ok but you quoted this from Hasbro: "All of the Targetmasters are being sold in the "master" pricepoint with some other non-gun weapon transformers under the blanket name "Battlemasters." Which at no point specifies that Targetmasters will be packaged with partners just that Targetmesters like Blowpipe will be included in the battlemasters assortment.

Amazing that somene asks ME if "I" have been keeping up …

Additionally:

Which is false because there have not been any Targetmasters released in the Siege line to date (except the pending wave 5).

Targetmaster refers both to the gun bot and their larger partner
