San Diego Comic Con 2019 has finally started and our staff on scene has already brought us photos of what’s to come.
As you may expect, we have the massive War For Cybertron Unicron prototype on display, or to be more accurate, we have TWO PROTOTYPES here! One in robot mode and another one in planet mode.
Enjoy all details, parts and angles of the chaos-bringer via our coverage with more than 150 HQ images of the first crowdfunding Hasbro Transformers toy!

LOL OF Course I was
, WTF man, are you suggesting I'm nuts or just going hardcore for hyperbole. Anyways, its not an MP literally, it's the Seige Unicron with all the bells and whistles you can fit into it to scream 1986 Movie Unicron. What I was expecting is nothing, what I'm getting is that, I'm happy…..still, I wish that the face, feet, hands and chest had the coloration of the movie instead of the silver, y'know, like the newer +line MP's.
At 19lbs, I guarantee there nothing stopping that Humpty from completing the nursery rhyme….
Amen brother, I'm literally selling my entire Play Arts Collection for this thing….AND IM HAPPY TO DO IT

Good lord, I wish I could afford this thing. It\'s amazing, but I\'m not going to be able to shell out that much cash for a decoration, sadly.

I can’t afford this but I am impressed at the engineering of it being a sphere and transforming to a fairly accurate representation. The engineering and weight justified the cost to me and obviously the exclusivity will bump the price up more.
I am concerned about the stability though and how the joints hold up. Still not convinved how the robot mode will fair without the stand. At that price i would expect a poseable robot.

I just came back from Comic Con. I saw this. It is huuuuge. I'm not getting this but I'm glad I got to see it in person. I was talking to one of the Hasbro guys and he was telling me about how shipping was included in the price. I must cost a lot to ship because he also told me it weighs 19 pounds. That's a lot of plastic.
Windsweeper II
And he can double as TLK Unicron.
Dakota
Unicron should of cost at least $250 and plus they should of make it as a online retail since stores can\'t carry them instores.
EpsilonFangs
Unicron is huge seeing as how he\'s basically a freaking Planet/God but holy crap thats a masterpiece!
ZapRowsdower
Then it must really bother you how much free cash Apple corporation has!
Something like $4 billion, if I recall correctly. They literally have more money than they know what to do with. This is all the proof you need that you are paying WAAAAAAAAY too much for your cell phone!

Looking through YouTube for more info and another interview with the Hasbro Pulse people.
So they're talking about adding transforming videos, Unicron being 50 steps or so, & plenty of other details.
I hope this helps clear up anything so far, I'm really waiting for more revealing info on Unicron from SDCC.

Yeah, of course I'm ordering it. I just wonder:
(A) Does the backpack detach in robot mode?
(B) How much more detailed is the final paint job going to be? We get a good impression here but some of it is clearly just prototype. Is the yellow going to be more orange? I'm assuming the detail within the planet mode mouth will be painted.
(C) How many pins are being used. For $575, they really better have spared no expense in keeping something this massive together, least of all with pressure joints.
Having the stand be the thing that holds it as it transforms is BRILLIANT. Even Armada Unicron is difficult to transform without using your lap or a table or something, and this is far larger. Being able to put it on its stand on a table and walk around the table and transform it with the stand holding it is a very good idea.
Prediction: Coming announcements for…
– a detachable head and an accessory to put on its bottom to make it look exploded off.
– An small "transformable" planet (Moonbase 1? Kranix's planet?). The planet doesn't really get transformed but more like "broken" as it can fit in the planet mode jaws.
– Small PVC versions of Galvatron's ship, the Autobots Ships, the Junkion ship, a Quintesson ship.

Coffe+Unicron pics and videos=perfect fika break.
For all us who can’t afford him, there’s always the nontransforming TF: Prime Unicron:

For a time……………………I considered sparing my wretched little wallet in my back pocket……
But now, you shall whitness its DISMEMBERMENT!

If you really want it and really like Unicron then this is a good investment as the Armada Unicron mold is getting old and dated.
In my opinion yes it could be cheaper but I don't want to miss out on something I literally never thought I'd see from any company.
It looks like the 1986 movie version and honestly I'm really glad both Takara & Hasbro are working together on this.

Well, if you want it, and it won't destroy your bank book by doing so, it's either paying the $600 now, or like, $1200 when it actually comes out.
tantrum
like it but not sure about putting $500 down

Just varying stages of development. The colour models are 3D printed and hand-painted, and are pretty much there for showing off I think. The grey primer resin model is more typical.
DrOblivian
they are both "grey" prototypes, only one is painted and the other is not.
ErickCruz
So what's the difference between the two color pieces on display and the gray prototype? Are the two figs on display just mock ups/decoys and the gray prototype the real deal?
