TV-Kun Twitter has updated images of the “Transformers Super Complete Works” book that will be included with the Legacy TV-Kun Transformers 35th Anniversary Commander Convoy Box Crowdfunding Project.
This time we have a look at the front and back cover of the book and some more images of the exclusive material included (original animation cells and character sketches and profiles). This 122-page book will compile a great variety of information and material about the original G1 cartoon series in Japan. It is part of Takara Tomy’s crowdfunding project that will also include a Convoy Golden Trophy and a reprint of the S.T.A.R.S. membership kit as we reported previously. The reception period of this crowdfunding is running until August 31st. (Japan only).

I think a lot of people came to the realization that you can get a G1 Prme cheaply, paint it gold, then glue it to a cheap stand and still have $$ to spend on other toys. Makes me wonder if the Haslab Unicron will make it to 8000. When I first heard about it, I was sure it would surpass the initial number and hit over 10000. But I kept looking at the numbers as the time was ticking down and those numbers were not there. Even by Hasbro adding all the retail numbers, the numbers slowed and then they had to extend the preorder date. Now, looking at the numbers, I am not sure it would make the 8000 preorder number. Makes me wonder if the E-retailers are looking at those numbers too and getting nervous. I think they will still make it, but not at the 8000 number they were hoping for. These failers of these crowdfunding projects are not looking good for these companies. On top of that, the tariffs are kicking in for a lot of everyday products AND will kick in for toys in December.

A while back when preorders went up for Takara Legends Grand Maximus they stated that if they got 3000 orders they would include a PotP Grand Max pretender shell. It failed and we never got that shell.

If Legends Grand Maximus need a certain amount of Pre-orders to get made. Then there was another goal/tier that if it was reached, Grand (the small titan master) would get a shell, that appeared to be a recolored Waverider, which was never produced either.

This is the exception to the rule, so to speak, compared to the Unicron project.
This was purely targetting the Nostalgia and Gold Variant fanbase.We've had so many reissues of G1 Prime that even the enticing gold chrome lost its luster.

I\'m not surprised. TT got greedy and tried to offer a partially transforming gold TF, a cardboard diorama and a book for silly money. This is the second TT crowdfunded project that wasn\'t fully successful (including the pretender shell for Brave Max).
I suspect Unicron will be the same…
