And just a few days after the Viz Media announcement of the “Transformers: The Manga Volume 1” in the US, 2005 Boards user Chris McFeely found a new Amazon listing for this upcoming publication.
This book is a collection of comic strips that originally appeared in Japanese Magazines, and it was previously available only in Japan through Hero X Comics by Million Publishing. This is our very first opportunity to have access to this material in a proper English translation.
You can pre-order this book here for $24.99 with a release date on February 11, 2020 at the moment. It will be a hardcover edition with 272 pages. Ready to add this book into your collection? Let us know your impressions on the 2005 Boards!

We could’ve memed that at least haha.

Could’ve been worse. They could’ve named him “Rasta”. All hail the Pot Bot.
Q Prime
And they called him Deszaras!

No Operation Combination?

I loved both books. Really made all the loose connections for me in g1 make sense. Like where the whole scramble corps came from and stuff. Hoping I will find this at Barnes and noble idk, really excited
Digger
They really did did Laster as Raster and still thought to change the faction names to their western variants?
That’s a pretty petty thing don’t get me wrong but man, I care about preservation of the craft in that sorta way. Idk, just something I needed to get off my chest.
GAUGE
Perspective is all kinds of messed up on Megatron on the cover. eeeesh! As an artist myself, makes me cringe a little that that wasn't caught by the editor before finalizing the art and publishing. oh well…
Grand Slam
For those that have a Kobo eReader or app, code ZJ55VV takes 25% off the already reduced price of these, bringing each volume to $9.82.

Didn't know Viz had their own digital side as well. So I looked it up in their FAQ and found this:
Where can my digital purchases be viewed?
Any purchases made through your VIZ account will be available to view in your VIZ.com library, as well as on the VIZ app for Android and iOS. Any purchases made on Google Play, Kindle, and iBooks are able to be viewed on their respective devices. Mature content can be bought and viewed only through Kindle, Google Play, and iBooks.

Has anyone bought the digital version directly from Viz: VIZ: Read a Free Preview of Transformers: The Manga, Vol. 1? If so, what format is it in?
Related, the Nook versions of Volumes 1 and 2 are 35% off: Transformers: The Manga, Vol. 1|NOOK Book.

Unfortunately, the best source of any "news" is a listing on Amazon and nothing yet.
I'd love BWII, Neo, and Metals Manga. I have untranslated scans since the original books are a little out of my budget.
Darkstone
I enjoyed Vol.2 but I'm also really looking forward to Vol.3 as Victory is my favorite of the Japanese shows.
Any news on more volumes coming in the future? I would love to get the Japanese Beast Wars mangas released like this.
B-Fox
Have to sit down and read through vol 2 thoroughly, but flipping through it I'll probably connect better with it than vol 1.
Also I know it's always been his thing, but Fangry/Wilder drawn with fur in beast-mode is still kind of a "stop and make sure you saw that right" moment whenever I see it.

Got Volume 2 in, bring on Volume 3!
Flash1087
I read mine over the weekend and loved it! It wasn't quite as absurd as the first volume, maybe because Headmasters and especially Masterforce already lean pretty hard into Super Robot ridiculousness, but I liked how they sort of adapted the stories of the two series while adding the teensiest backstory.
According to the little blurb at the end, I'm super excited for the third volume, because it's gonna collect all the weird comic-only Zone and Battlestars stuff, which I've always been mega curious about! Gonna call it a birthday present to myself, if that Amazon release date holds true.

Just wanted to follow up my old post and say the above illustrations are in Vol. 2. These books are so amazing!

If you want any of them on time order from Book Depository. They also flat pack stuff so it doesnt get damaged (which has happened to literally every book I'ver ordered from amazon , arrived all dinged up)

I'm glad I forgot to cancel my order for Volume 2. The book is really awesome next to Volume 1. I didn't look online, but is this one longer than Volume 1? This Volume sure seems like it stacked next to Volume 1.
Edit: Whoops, didn't see Foster already say it is thicker. Sorry!
