After many years going back-and-forth, Paramount Pictures London has agreed to host a new theme park in Kent with multiple attractions including Transformers.
“London is set to get its own version of [Disney Land] and it’s led by the film studio Paramount Pictures. That means selfies with Don Corleone from The Godfather, saying hi to Bumblebee from Transformers and checking out Tom Cruise’s stunt locations from Mission: Impossible. The plans for the park have been in the works for a while but came to a halt some years ago over disagreements on film rights”, states Metro UK.
The park will also feature a massive 2000-seat theater for Paramount movies and more than 50 rides based on various properties not limited to Paramount franchises.
You can check out several concept images attached with this news post. However, the park won’t open until 2024.

Infrastructure is the main problem with this planed park, it's outside of London with only the M25 and a single basic train line providing access to it. The traffic around here is bad enough already with the Dartford bridge also being in the vicinity.

Dino would be great.
Moy
I hope London follows the same style. They can use Jolt or Dino this time.

Yeah, it made great use of the CGI models!
Moy
Exactly. Bonecrusher vs Sideswipe was a good scene.

I loved it! Went on it several times when we were at universal. It was usually over an hour wait but it was a blast.
WarLordFoxxy
Did you ride it? Ive heard from so many of my friends that it's really fun.
So…

There is so much more to Transformers besides Bumblebee. Fuckin goodness

Again, it's all down to planning permission. A lot of the UK is still undeveloped countryside, and what does get greenlit for development is usually functional, e.g. housing or amenities. Plus London is such a major hub for transport (two of the UK's biggest airports, plus the hub of all rail transport) that it makes the most sense to place it nearby. Alton Towers is arguably the best park in the UK and is very popular, but is a bitch to get to via public transport, preventing a huge number of potential visitors from accessing it.

Seems fair. Also wouldn’t that make more tourism for the entire country? Like instead of crowding one city you could put it elsewhere.

Great news. But does London need another theme park? Already has Chessington, Thorpe Park and Lego land. Wish these companies would realise that there are other areas in the UK besides London.
Digger
Lol they’d totally say that.

Time to sleep until 2024 for this to be open then

The theme is how London has been transformed…

I wouldn't hold your breath. This project has been going around in circles for almost a decade now, and very very few theme parks in the UK have taken off without using existing infrastructure.
If it does truly go ahead, then it will give the UK industry the kick up the backside it needs, but UK planning restrictions are a bitch.
Digger
Neat. Probably gonna be Bumblebee inspired is my guess.
Moy
What makes you say that?

Meanwhile, the Transformers ride at Universal Orlando/Hollywood/Singapore ain't shit.
