Toyhax dropped by again and gave us an update for their newest label sets. Here is what Delta Star of Toyhax has to share with us:

“This is not your typical Toyhax release.

We’ve never worked so hard on such a small pair of figures. Siege Laserbeak now has classic dual cannons, and his iconic G1 face, and Ravage‘s cassette mode looks like, well… a cassette! Siege Laserbeak and Ravage

Now, the elephant in the room is the massive amount of cel-shading in this release. Why did we do this? This was a month in which few new figures for the main Siege line were released. Simply put, there is a demand for cel-shaded windows, and we thought it'd be best to streamline the process to get lots done at once, as opposed to making people wait for 2 new sets per month. We absolutely understand that they are not for everybody, and hear you loud and clear.

When it comes to labels peeling up, we have had issues in the past with incorrect ink being supplied to us, and this can cause labels to peel off the toy after a period of time, due to surface tension. We have recently addressed this with our supplier and we're currently using vastly superior inks. As with the Ricochet labels, we're willing to send free replacements if you have experienced any issues. Again, just send us a message after you place your next order, and we'll include them.

Hello Alex, would you guys mind selling your Siege Sticker sets without the extra physical add ons? For some, like Laserbeak, I'd buy, but for others like Prowl, I don't really want and they just jack up the price. I'm pretty sure you guys previously sold sets with and without the extras, like TR Galvatron.

P.S. Your Medical Specialist/Not Ratchet set is listed under the Standard Size characters, but on the actual product page, it says Masterpiece Size. I sent an email asking about this, and got a confirmation that the mail was successfully sent, only to get an error/mail daimon notice a few moments later… so your system saw it as successfully sent when it wasn't.

Hi Alex, I'd like to file a formal complaint, some time ago I purchased a stickerfix thingamabob, and the one I received came with a note stating it was defective, and I received no kind of compensation for being sent a defective product, and when I contacted your customer support I was basically blown off, up until now, the customer service has been quite great, and I'd like to resolve this to everyone's satisfaction, because I'd like to continue being a patron of your store

I sincerely appreciate you responding to the thread. I know it's not all sunshine and rainbows and I have a hand in that, so I can't say much other than thank you for explaining and listening to user feedback. I'm hoping the future is brighter and I hope you'll start using better inks on all of the sets, even ones that you've previously offered such as POTP Rodimus. The Hasbro stickers barely get the job done, while GOOD Reprolabels would be much, much better.

I don't like cell shades windows for my figures, but I don't begrudge Toyhax for going after low hanging fruit.

They already had the necessary measurements, so this one was really easy and inexpensive for them to produce.

Ive been buying the cell shaded windows as the release so this update was a great one for me. Bought 10 sets at once.

Alex, thanks for popping in here to talk stickers. I hope Toyhax will perhaps consider making these in the future:

Star Seeker emblem sheet – need more Pirates to go with the ones from Botcon

South American TF Malignus/Optimus emblem sheet – I've repainted some Minibots who could really use these to finish off the customs

Diaclone/Microchange/Pre-TF conversion sets – I'd love one especially for Siege Soundwave, he'd have the "Cassette Man" on his chest door and "Cassette" knee stickers. Also wouldn't mind sets to make Classics Starscream and Thundercracker into their Diaclone versions, or a set for Generations or Siege Red Alert to become Clampdown.

The cel-shaded stuff is nice and all, but I made this list in January …

You have a KFC Kingorilla set, but not a KFC Kingzilla set. These two figures are complimentary to one another. Is there a plan to do a set for Kingzilla, as I don't want to buy one set without getting his mate.

Is it weird that I have unused sticker sheets where the labels edges are peeling up while the stickers are still on the original sheet? I have a mostly unused sheet of labels for TFC Wildhunter/Blacker and a few other where that's happening.

Hi Alex, When will you guys finally do a set for FT-16 Sovereign? There aren't any options for clear backed Decepticon logos for him that are the same shade as the G1 cartoon. Such a shaded symbol will properly stand out from the rest of his chest color.

Out of curiosity, does Toyhax have anywhere online where they interact with customers and receive/reply to any feedback? I don't believe I've ever seen anyone from the site post on TFW.

I think they used to have a comment section on the old site, but that's long gone.

It doesn't matter anyway, all it takes is one person posting about how great something is for them to think everyone loves it. It takes a metric shit-ton of complaints to override one compliment. Even then, I don't think they care. They want to do it so end of story.

Alright, they've jumped the shark and they're embracing it.

Cel-shaded windows as a gimmick is neat…to a point. When it's the main focus of the entire month's listings and the REAL ones are relegated to 2-3 releases in a given month, it's clear they've become either creatively bankrupt, bored, both or they're throwing in the towel.

Couple that with the fact that these sets are generally pretty expensive and they don't stick well over time to the point of needing "Sticker Fixer" it's clear they're not in it for the love of it anymore, just the money and the customer be damned.

I'm not cool with that. With prices as they are, sets of importance drying up, gimmicks and quality dropping, I think I'm done with Reprolabels/Toyhax. I miss the days when they were high quality vinyl and those that weren't were rock solid. I bought a set for G1 Bruticus, years ago, and it was still holding when I sold the set. PRID Smokescreen? Peeling everywhere. It reminds me of a bad Hasbro set. Shouldn't feel like that with a 3rd party who's only real offering is stickers that are supposed to fix Hasbro's blemishes.

One thing is, with hasbro putting more paint on their figures they don’t need the new stickers like they used to.

I would love it if they would start doing vintage G2 sets so I could start to refurbish some of my old childhood toys.

I have zero interest in the cell shaded windows and i don't buy enough 3rd party figures to care about those and when I do I don't feel they need them.
