Transform Element had revealed last year the gray prototypes of two interesting products for the Legends class market: Beast Wars Rattrap and Blackarachnia.
Now, via Transform Element Weibo, we can share for you the first color prototype images of the Legends scaled Beast Wars Blackarachnia figure. From the look of the images, we can say that this a very detailed and cartoon-accurate rendition of the bad spider-bot, all packed in only 4 inches tall.
We still have no concrete information on release date or price, but stay tuned with TFW2005 for more information once it’s available. Click on the bar to see the mirrored images on this news post and then sound off you impressions on the 2005 Boards!

Yeah I thought something was off about that scale chart. Glad I wasn’t crazy
Inferno
For the record, the scale chart you are using is massively outdated, it was made by GALVATOM back in 2017. The latest version is this one:
Using it I made a similar comparison. I agree with itMFis and Pun-3X, Kingdom does have a decent enough scale in my opinion, except for Rattrap and Dinobot:
Here's another one with the T30 Maximals instead:
Alph
Airazor should be taller than Cheetor and come above Primal's shoulder, Rhinox should be taller than Tigatron, and Dinobot should be tall enough that Primal's head doesn't reach his shoulders.
Pun-3X
Yeah, I notice some of the differences comparing to the scale chart, but by themselves they all look fine…until you get to Rattrap. Including his core class.
The group that is currently doing OSKO's of Primal, Airazor and Terrorsaur, if they did an upscale of Rattrap that wasn't huge (head-height shorter than Cheetor) I'd just get that and call it a day.
I will say, TE's Rattrap and BA look great with MP G1 bots. Even if the former doesn't even belong (being TM during that encounter).
itMFtis
Besides the TE Rattrap, the scale of the rest look good to my eye.
Alph
Well if we compare the figures to the show's scale…
Rattrap should definitely be taller, but so should Airazor, Rhinox, and Dinobot. Using Optimus as the baseline, Cheetor and Tigatron are the only ones properly scaled to him.
And that's not even getting into the predacons.
QuintusTheExaltedOne
Most of them work except Dinobot and Rattrap
Alph
Kingdom's BW scaling is out of whack in general anyway so you'd best not obsess over it. I'm just glad that it's at least possible to have a Rattrap and Blackarachnia who are the same height and shorter than all the rest.
Mad Prime
I'd prefer if TE kept doing BW characters. Than they would be all in the right size. Don't need all the BW characters but really would like Inferno, Tarantulas, Terrorsaur and Waspinator from TE.
Is TE still doing BE characters?
I've pre ordered Iron Romance Workshop Depth Charge and Rampage. Hope they're still alive.
Atleast Newage Depth Charge is almost being shipped.

I actually love the thrilling 30’s mold. But he’s too tall lol. Ironically I believe the OG basics Rattrap is the closest to the right size scale wise. I’m not huge on asking fo KO’s but this feels like a situation that makes sense, there’s a market for a rattrap at the right size
Fuze9
Ugh, I know! Normally I'm not one to ask for up-scaling legends figures, but this really is the best-looking Rattrap. And despite being the right size, I can't bring myself to pick up that fugly Thrilling 30 mold. Each mode's face is terrifying.
QuintusTheExaltedOne
God if they just upscaled this mold like half an inch he’d be the perfect Rattrap for kingdom View attachment 29558902View attachment 29558903View attachment 29558904View attachment 29558906

anyone looking to unload a rattrap?
itMFtis
Thanks, I'll bite for that price. Just couldn't do it at $30+
The Allspice
If anyone is still on the hunt. Both of these are on sale currently on SZ for 25 a pop.
The Allspice
If anyone still has theirs complete w packaging and wants to let it go, LMK. I'm only able to still find it from OS sellers and I'm not sure I trust a figure that tiny to survive the Chinese Postal Service this close to CNY.

I think you are defining things poorly too. The key point of transformers is that they transform, so they aren't just action figures and they aren't just statues. They are their own category. I feel this conversation is going off the rails and kind of run its course. I think everyone understands the pros and cons between the different Rattraps now.
Alph
Sorry but this post is utter nonsense.
For one thing, you're trying to muddy the waters with pointless semantic argument. I don't give a hoot what you define an action figure or a statue as, or what you label TE Rattrap as. You referred to TE Rattrap as an action figure first, not me, and now you're trying to bring up statues? Come on man.
Second of all, it's perfectly possible to display and articulate a figure without playing with it. A figure like TE Rattrap can be displayed in a variety of poses, plus it can be displayed in its alternate mode, unlike something like this, which cannot be articulated whatsoever. For whatever reason, you seem to want to ignore or obfuscate the distinction between a display piece with articulation and a display piece that has no articulation. I don't understand why you're doing this, but cut it out.
