2005 Boards member Seeaich has sahred in our boards an interesting finding via the Teletraan-1 Database on Hasbro’s website.
Use Refraktor’s code (Reflector) in the Teletraan-1 Database to unlock a nice Refraktor wallpaper, but there’s more than meets the eye here.
First, the text “Microx M” is written in Cybertronian on the wallpaper. A nod to the original Microman Microx toy which became G1 Reflector.
Then, we have a series of Refraktor’s camera mode illustrations, but showing off some extra parts like a bigger lens, a flash cube, a central raised viewfinder pillar and a control pad top. The extra parts made it look more like a regular camera.
Could this be a hint about a possible remold or special release of Refraktor? Can we dream of a more realistic toy-accurate Generations Select release? Click on the bar to see the images and then sound off on the 2005 Boards!

And, so friends, we bid goodbye to this dearly departed defunct thread!

I'd be down for a toy colored version set of these guys. Still getting three of the regular mainline Refractor's/Reflector's tho.

I'd highly recommend it. I got mine from Toy Dojo recently.

Thanks for the photo references. I may just have to buy one of these…

You are right, in trying to get those SDCC and the NYCC excluses, will still completely destroy our wallets, even though I much prefer the 3 pack.
That's probably the most likely of cases here, (un)fortunately.

A: That makes sense.
B: Yeah, I wouldn't mind paying that much.

Already saw this done in a video review weeks ago

View attachment 28292245 I mentioned the possibility of this before which is another reason why I'm not buying 3 Refraktors (just one).
Mostly because I already have the Papa Toys version and the high likelihood of HasTak releasing an exclusive G1 toy version of Spectro, Spyglass and Viewfinder down the line.
We're also talking $60+ if they go that route so we'll just have to see.

Just barely taller than a standards legends-sized figure. There's the PaPa Toys version too, which is scout-sized, though that one doesn't have toon-accurate heads if that matters.

Weapon and accessory possibilities are vast too, this isn't even all of them, and yet all of them (except the G1 toy guns) can be stored away in camera mode.

Knowing how close SDCC is, I think this is a Reflector Diaclone colors box set.

You have point. I just stated TF adapts BAF scheme.
And yeah, it'll be a headache to find each one with specific camera extra part BAF style.
I rather get a set to save me some hassle.
But if it's going to be an SDCC exclusive, it will blow my wallet apart.
But let's see the offered price. It maybe a possible exclusive but not overly expensive.

I think it's more due to the fact of finding all 3 figures separately if they come with different parts. It's hard enough to find any to begin with, without going the Marvel BAF route. How long, how far, and how much you pay will you look to find that elusive last figure to compete the set. No, I have enough headaches without adding that stress on top. Which is why I don't buy a lot of Marvel BAF for my collection, and I'm still not done the set I started on a couple of years ago.

A flash and the top manual viewfinder.
This will be box set probably.
Does it hurt the deluxe pricing production budget if they include those parts per figure?
tripod – one character
flash – one character
view finder – one character

So SDCC box set incoming?
Seriously, I hate to say it (because I don’t want to have to stalk websites) but it makes perfect sense IMHO.
GAUGE
this figure is going to be tough enough as it is just to get 1 of them. trying to get three will be a nightmare.
Toss in a potential box set to make a proper camera with all the extra parts as indicated in that art. ugh. brain hurts.
eBay dealers are going to be making so much money off these guys.

Got my Refraktor in today from Amazon, only bought 1 because I didn't want to spend $60 on the same figure. But if they did them in G1 toy colors, I can justify that as 3 different characters!
protostar8
Watch this be some stupid SDCC exclusive that costs twice as much as the original 3 would.
Mercurius
How big are the MechFans ones? They are rather nice looking, and I think I'd rather have a more "normal" looking camera if I was going to buy a Reflector/Refraktor, myself.
