New 3P company BLUE-Lobster has shared via their Weibo account the colored renders of their first project: BL-01 X-Frank (Autobot X).
Autobot X is a character brought from the classic G1 cartoon episode 17: “Autobot Spike”. On this episode, Spike was seriously injured and his mind transferred into a Frankenstein-like body made of Autobot spare parts.
As you should expect, this is a non-transformable figure but with a total cartoon-accurate design. The renders are shown next to the original G1 character model and we can see that it is very close to the Autobot X we saw in the old G1 series. We still have no other information about release date, size or materials, but stay tuned with TFW2005 for more updates. It’s good to remember that X-Transbots also showed the prototype of their own Autobot X a while ago, so we have another alternative for this character on the market.

No worries! I did um and ah when it came out, but never pulled the trigger. My dx9 Gabriel preorder with them (well, TFS-Express) just dropped 20 quid due to postage costs reduction so I thought what the hell!
Glad it helped a fellow collector to boot, that's my good deed for the day/week/mon….

Thanks for posting that. I thought this would make a nice companion piece to the MP scale line at around £20, but there was no way I was paying the original asking price. Just ordered!

Just grabbed from Omegalock for similar price. £22.89 delivered, looking forward to him arriving on Tuesday

Yep, this is the exact autobot spike I wanted. I was in on the Xtransbots version until I recieved this for Christmas. He'll do fine for me.

Horrid figure in terms of modern masterpiece but exactly what it needs to be. Solid, well painted and sculpted. Articulation is as good as you need from a Frankenstein robot. Great shelf piece and great price
Markus76
It's a character that was in one episode and it doesn't transform. That's why it was so cheap. It's a shelf piece and never claimed to be anything else.

Hoping these guys start to go on clearance. Would pick one up at like 20 bucks for sure.

Completely forgot to post something about this guy. Since everything has already been said I'll just leave this pic. I would love to see someone do a Deceptitran figure. Hopefully that B.O.T. will be produced.

"Me Autobot X. Me was human once. Me miss that. Why all big robots be loud and confusing? Megatron angry at me and say big words. Me smash him."

Mine arrived today. I like it. Figure has some weight to it mostly because it's a PVC statue. Looks like it stepped out of the toon and it's depressed to be alive. Size is about right for the MP shelf. Would I like more pose-ability? Well, yeah. But it's basically in the hulking Frankenstein pose I'd likely have it in anyway, so we're good. Plus the head's on a ball joint and the head sculpt is perfect. Arm articulation is really really basic, but again, it's essentially a statue so what's there works. I wish they would have added the slight blue for Prowl's headlight part of his chest. That's probably the only paint app missing. Apart from that the only other negative I see is that it's maybe a bit too toony? And maybe the price. I dunno. I'm happy with my purchase.

Sucks that you're not happy with it- but are you truly surprised though? I feel like we knew this going in? Or had you not been watching this thread and just came in to report here after you got it?

Received mine an hour ago from showz. Tonight I will open the parcel and enjoy it. Yes it is a semiposable statue, but it was clear from the reviews. 100% cartoon accuracy… A little gem for me

I got this in today. Ug. Waste of money! Looks nice, but it's rubbery plastic with almost no motion. The arms move up and down, the elbows bend and the head moves a bit.
No waste swivel, no leg movements at all.

Really looks the part alongside the cartoon s2 guys. Very surprised by how hefty it is too, I thought it'd be really hollow and light.
Mine also has very slight upper thigh rotation but it is hindered by the back of the thigh sculpt.
Half thinking about trying to mod hip and knee joints which will slightly boost his height too.

Yesterday I picked up one too. Monday he'll join his S2 fellas.
