Autobase Aichi has uploaded some in-hand images of the new War For Cybertron: Siege Deluxe Class Refraktor (Reflector) for your viewing pleasure.
The original G1 Reflector was in fact three robots that combined into a classic film camera. Siege brings a new incarnation of the characters, but with a new name possibly for trademark reasons. Each Refraktor toy can transform into a spaceship, and now you have to buy three of them to be combined into a modern camera mode, which includes a stand. The individual robots are smaller than other Siege Deluxe toys, but the combined camera mode sure looks big even for a Leader Class figure like Galaxy Upgrade Optimus Prime, as seen in the images.
Check out all the images, as well as a video review, after the jump and then sound off on the 2005 Boards!

There are several reasons that drive me to want this guy x3. First is, I love Reflector! I had the Micro-change toy and the Mail-in version. I was irritated as a kid that he didn’t match the cartoon, buy hey, 10 yr olds.
Next, is that I feel Hasbro really got the look and feel of the character. Granted there are minor things like the shutter on each one, but it’s completely fixable.
The main thing that stands out to me is the color. I have the PE version (night-ops) and the MFT Camera Bros. If the MFT version had the Siege colors it would be perfect. Alot of other Reflector toys have too much purple instead of the light periwinkle. This Reflector nails it!
I was originally going to pass since the middle unit didn’t have the center piece in camera mode. However, Matrix Workshop quickly changed my mind with their add-on kit. Plus, But I found ONE in the wild and committed.
Now, I do feel the price tag is A little steep, especially when you add up three of them with add-ons, but as many others have said, everything changes once you have three.

While I have always been happy with the PE Scouting Force X (or some might argue the slightly bigger Papa Toys version) as a representation of Reflector in my Generations collection, it might just be time for that excellent set to move aside for the new Transformers Siege Refraktor (trio). Herein is my review of Refraktor with he immense versatility of 1 figure or 3. I show several fan modes, the couple of official modes and quite the comparison between old and new. Yep, we MAY just have a new champion for Reflector for Generations collectors!

Remember "Reflector" from season 1 of the original Transformers cartoon? The generic triplets who spoke in unison, got clobbered by Skyfire, and were dropped after only a few episodes? Well, they're back and after 35 years, it's finally time for their close-up! Join Death as he reviews the deluxe triple-changing triplets as only the Grim Reaper can! After waiting so long for a decent version of this team, did Hasbro do them justice? Watch and see!
Oh yes, and be sure to like/subscribe/share to all thy mortal buddies! After all, who wouldn't want Death on their side..?

My review. Overall, they are enjoyable figures when you have all 3.

I could make a joke but since this is a family page I'll just say the connection is solid. Four points of contact

Maybe I have overlooked it, but could someone confirm just how good the connection is when combined in camera mode? Is it pretty tight or would picking it up cause it to fall apart

Haha, you're right, I just didn't see it, until now.

Yep. Those. Thanks for confirming!!!

Do you mean the shutter piece? Those just come right off.

I already used all 3 shutter pieces. One on top, one on the left side and the one you need for the tripod.

Very nice slight fan/alt mode for the camera. I like how you now use 2 (out of 3) of the "shutter" parts and the feet to make the camera mode more realistic.
I'm wondering though if you can still use the 3rd last shutter piece, so that there are no leftover unused parts. Maybe you can try this for me; on the bot mode the shutter piece is put into the hole just under the green chest. Now in camera mode that hole is too high to use as the camera shutter, because it will interfere with the camera lense, but there is a screw hole just below that chest hole. It looks like the screw hole may line up with the center of the camera lense, and if the screw hole is big enough to fit the shutter piece and is far enough back from the 3 gun handles inside the camera lense, I think you can use that last 3rd shutter piece to make the camera even more realistic. You may not see the shutter piece completely or the gun handles may ruin the illusion of a functioning camera, but I think you can fudge it enough so that all of those accessories are used.
Please try this and let us know, please @iron maniac?
Oh snap, that's totally dope, man! I'm gonna use that! Thanks for sharing that pic, and credit to whoever made it!
