Flame Toys have tweeted images of their next installment in their easy-to-build model kit line Furai Model, and we have a clear look at their Shattered Glass Optimus Prime.
The Furai Model line brings us snap-on model kits ideal for fans who are not familiarized with this kind of figures. This time, we have a very nice repaint of the Furai Model Optimus Prime Attack Mode in his evil version of the Shattered Glass universe.
The figure has got a really impressive range of movement (over 40 movable joints), great for pictures and display. The robot mode really shines in his new purple and gray deco and we are sure it will really please your optics. It’s expected for release on July, 2019.

Yeah it’s kinda been and gone with our reactions. I can see why they made the changes they did, even if it doesn’t work.

I'm probably late to the game a bit with this, but I recently learned that those changes to Windblade were Hasbro's doing. I know people want to blame
*sigh*
other people for them, but the artist's Twitter specifies that "the copyright holder had issues with some parts".
Something about that made me a bit happy? Because I certainly find the new look to be an improvement.

Hey everyone,
I bought the SDCC bundle from BlueFin and have the Thundercracker and Bumblebee kits available for sale if anyone is interested.
Totally brand new and still in their original shrink wrap. See my sales thread for pictures or send me a PM.

We have very different ideas of what $10 KOs look like. Unless you're talking about the design, but that's a matter of preference.
Still, I'd like to see $10 KOs with sculpts as crisp and sharp as that, with that kind of finish.

That's a matter of the design aesthetic, which obviously Windblade doesn't share.

Hope Windblade isn't that bad.

Wow. Interesting combo!
Pixelmaster
Dear lord he looks like a 10 dollar knock off. Any HG looks leagues better than it!

The Mad Demobot
Well…at least she still has her curves. Now she's more "aerodynamic"
imho feel like they cowered out a bit after being so close to completion but at least if the artist is happy with the compromise I won't be upset either. I don't see anyone younger than 16 buying these things tho.

I admit mine is just a theory, but those are likely less important as the wings are part of both her bot and her alt.
Changing her shoulders, while annoying for those who like a certain style, would probably be less of a concern when trying to define a look.
Like Prime's chest windows, yet he still has so many variations on literally everything else.

That's one theory and seeing as how like you said Hasbro's really pushing for the Evergreen designs to be basically their definitive designs that may not be far off. All the same I do wish that they'll be able to give you the option to make her look different if you want similar to how Flametoy's Drift from what I've heard has the option to change his look if you want.
Berser Car
Meanwhile Windblade's shoulderplates change with every toy. While I would like more design consistency, I like all those different shoulder designs.

I was wondering if, in general, HasTak wanted the wings changed because that's something they consider key to her design. For all the variations characters go through, it seems like there are things Hasbro/Takara lock in on. That could be for trademark/copyright purposes. It's harder to protect a design if it's too broadly defined. Think Prime's chest windows, Megatron's fusion cannon, etc.
Perhaps her wings are like those on the three main coneheads. HasTak associate those with specific jet modes because they want to make sure that they can present a design and have people recognize it without being told who it is. If they want her to be a more prominent member of the roster, this could be a step in that direction. Also, if they ever do variations on Windblade (like if they decide to do an Autobot Seeker equivalent) then they'd want to be able to do design variations to help tell them apart.

That would be awesome.

I'm happy that she doesn't look too different from how she looked before. Wished she kept her old wings though. Hopefully the kit will ultimately give you the option to give her the old wings along with some of her original design details when it's released.
Scarlet knight
Fantastic. That's the height I want her to be.
Convoy
Yeah, height wise he is. width wise he's chunky!
Scarlet knight
Is Bumblebee deluxeish height?
