Via AirToysStore Weibo we can share for you the first renders of the Transform And Roll Out TR-02 Commander Of Stars (Cybertron Optimus Prime).
This is the second project of 3P company Transform And Roll Out (they had released a MP scaled G1 jazz before) and they surprise us with a non-G1 character this time. They bring us an improved rendition of Cybertron Optimus Prime. The renders show a figure that keeps the spirit of the original character and toy, but a bit more stylized and proportioned body. We can expect better articulation compared to the original toy.
According to the information shared, this figure will be 24 cm tall in his robot mode and 28 cm tall in his combined Super Mode. The fire truck alt mode will be 36 cm long, 10 cm wide and 7 cm tall. Keep in mind that these are early renders and information, so it may change in the final product.
It’s great to see another alternative for an upgrade to Cybertron Optimus Prime following the new Leader Class Siege Optimus Prime and Maketoys Galaxy Manus (still on the works). Click on the bar to see the images and let us know your expectations on the 2005 Boards!

i think some figures would benefit some wouldnt. Most figures that ”need” a remake really only need a redeco, as we saw with er sunstreaker and hopefully we will see with black convoy (molds good, and a repaint never hurt anyone)
but cybertron prime imop def needs one. Commander of starts checks the box for now but i would like an update akin to armada prime (although hopefully a leader since a) I think its very doable and b) too many commander primes alr lol)

They could just do a repaint – this time designed by someone who can be arsed to open up the f***ing wiki for five seconds if they don’t know what a character looks like…
Of course, if they hadn’t deliberately oversized God Magnus so deluxe cars could fit in him, they wouldn’t have needed to oversize Fire Convoy, and then they wouldn’t need to even talk about redoing Black Convoy as a Commander…
Jazz of Staniz
Maybe so, but I’d rather not have the slightest hint of Cybertron Optimus taking even longer to get a new figure.
They’ve mentioned the idea offhand, but if they reissued the Velocitron one, I think that would give the impression that they aren’t doing a new one for a while.

I mean we are stuck in remake hell, so it’s not surprising. The fanbase and designers as a result, suggest remakes of everything they make the moment it releases.
Hobart Paving
They’re already talking about a possible new Black Convoy, though, and it’s only a year-or-so since they released the VS500 one…
Logos Prime
We are seeing a reissue of Earthrise Optimus bare months before the SS86 commander comes out though. A GUOP reissue wouldn't be great, but hardly definitive.
Jazz of Staniz
I’d prefer the Siege version stay something they don’t reissue, since them reissuing it would basically be them outright saying they won’t do a new one any time soon.
Nofriend
But it will be too strange that Hasbro done nothing to Cybertron Prime.
As next year will be the 20th anniversary of this character, his friends' new toys are coming out …
At least reissue siege version please.
Jazz of Staniz
The Commander will almost definitely be Silverbolt, going by all of the Arialbots being included in the listings apart from their leader/torso, and Titan would just be too big for Cybertron Optimus. The designers have also alluded to not wanting to clog up Commander class with the same name, so I doubt we’ll see a Commander Prime for a while after the 86 one.
But yeah the HasLab will basically be the CHUG Optimus for the year.

My money’s on Primus for next year’s HasLab, to go with the 13 Primes the new Generations line is based on.
But then, the local bookie loves me, so what do I know?
Kaynowa
Worth pointing out that we don't have commander or Titan, Optimus could fall within those. And technically the Haslab releases next fall
Jazz of Staniz
First half of 2024 you say? Guess that means it won’t release till the last quarter of 2027, going by their previous estimates.
Since we have the listings up through the full year of 2025, we won’t even have a chance of seeing a new Cybertron Prime until 2026 at least. And since there’s no Optimus among those listings — likely because the theme is the 13 Primes — we may not even see him in 2026.

I just haven't had any inclination to myself. He stays in the pose I have him in on my shelf without it

Same here. I actually did the glue fix fir the ratchets and they hold up perfectly
Kaynowa
I had the finger issues but those were quickly fixed with a replacement pair included in most purchases. I personally haven't had other issues other than the shoulder ratchets but they seem to still hold up on just the friction just fine. Mileage may vary ofc but there's a lot of varying with this guy
pigeonskyrat
how did you make a more cope statement than "tr02a will release" holy shit
jokes aside if hasbro releases a good cybertron op i will not insult mainline ever again
Nofriend
Will tr-02a on sale first or hasbro's new version of cybertron Optimus finally release

Ive considered getting Stellarus Prominion, just not sure why I havent bought him yet. Other than paying off Paypal debt and no real connection with that version of Prime.. Maybe If I find a really good deal. He seems like a pretty neat figure.

If I hear better thing’s about the rerelease I might give it a try.
That said I was thinking of waiting to see if they offered any repaints as Cybertron Prime didn’t get a whole lot compared to most Prime’s.

Hoping this release catapults this figure to the fame it deserves
