Courtesy of the Industrial Light & Magic Art Department sharing across their official social media channels and Nerdist, prepare to enjoy concept art for the Bumblebee movie’s well-regarded Cybertron sequence! Among the highlights of this tour:
- The key design language for the entire film was the original 1980s cartoon
- The Autobot’s headquarters was inspired by the cartoon’s Great Dome
- As we know from a previous reveal, storyboards proved important as design guides
- Optimus Prime’s Cybertron vehicle mode reveal was originally intended for inclusion

Really? I’m pretty sure I read somewhere the listing was from Wikipedia.
The figure straight up can’t work with some joints having QC issues, you can’t turn the waist or thighs sometimes cause it might have paint gunk in it. The transformation is bullshit and some people haven’t even transformed their’s because it seems to hard. And if you do transform it there’s risk of ruining the robot mode when you change back. The hands are spindly and useless even though it has two pairs which achieve the same result of nothing. And that face doesn’t even look like arcee, just completely lifeless. The MMC one floors it in mostly everything.
I do agree. I’m quite fond of it. He seems more like a reserved warrior who could still punch fools senseless but give a good moral lesson.

While I do like Bayverse Ironhide's head design quite a bit, something about this Knightverse design is really grabbing my attention. It's a very clearly alien face, but its still clean and expressive and well designed.
Omega495
It is probably based on the TF tribute two pack which is movie inspired redeco of WFC Optimus

That seems like a bit of an extreme description of that figure. I don't own either if the Arcees on the market as I'm mostly poor, but she looks the best in my opinion. I'd be curious what constitutes a "shit-show" though.
2Sixshot
No its was from the iTunes edition of the film
TheSoundwave
Wow, that's a lot of neat concept art! I must say I'm glad they went with the Optimus they used, although it would have been cool to see his Cybertronian vehicle.

Not sure if it\'s been said already but the cab/tractor portion of that Optimus truck design looks a lot like the War For Cybertron design.
Same wheelbase, sleek shape & the smokestacks are similar.
There's even a top-mounted gun like the Generations figure.
Requiem Prime
Interesting, it looks like Bumblebee\'s Cybertronian design and the scrapped version of Optimus drew from High Moon\'s WFC.
Runamuck86
loving these designs .
Really like how Optimus has a cybertronian trailer …. kinda makes Rodimus Prime\'s vehicle mode look less silly
MrNiceGuy
Yeah, I guess it being shoved in there last-minute could account for why soundwave and shockwave have those weird stumpy proportions in the final movie?
I mean the seekers all look great and just like the concept art.

I’d buy it.

Art book now plz

Ahh! That makes sense now!
They should be! They’re incredible! And I would love to see them all on earth in a future film. Also who else is on the team since there were 7 extra autobots at the end of the film. And we only know about 4 of them.
Crazy I know. I feel like he’s probably one of the better seekers. Hell the blitzwing head works odly well for him. Unlike the other two. What kind of personality did Squidhead had compared to his original? I’m wondering how the seekers might play off each other in future films.

Arachnid can't kill your partners if you become Arachnid.
Septimus-Prime
What\'s the point, it\'ll line up back to the bayish universe.

Yo HasTak,
I'm going to need toys of all of these renders, asap.

I'm passing on the SS Bumblebee Prime, but I would buy that concept art ersion with trailer in a heartbeat.

The Cybertronian Bumblebee alt mode looks like a nice combo of the WFC game and seems to take a bit from the original first G1 episode alt mode. Awesome.

Haha! Green Seeker\'s Thrust. Called. It. Also, Armada reference! Not just G1! Armada!
