Autobase Aichi has uploaded some new in-hand images of the new Transformers Studio Series SS-42 Voyager Long Haul for your viewing pleasure.
The images come from a YouTube video, and we finally have some clear shots of this new incarnation of the Constructicon from Revenge Of The Fallen. There are several comparison shots next to the original Voyager Long Haul from the 2009. As we can see, the new Studio Series Long Haul is a bit shorter in robot mode, but he is clearly more movie-accurate and proportioned. The Studio Series toy transforms into a completely different dump truck compared to the 2009 toy, but both seem to be about the same size.
The images also include a look at Long Haul as Devastator’s leg. We are sure many fans are really looking forward to collect the rest of the Studio Series Constructicons. Check out all the images after the jump and then sound off on the 2005 Boards!
DeathReviews
What's THIS? Death is reviewing a Bayverse figure? It happened! But there's a purpose! Find out what sinister schemes Death has during this review of Studio Series Voyager Long Haul! Why exactly is Death eager to get hold of a mere dump truck that turns into a robot? And along the way, check out the figure itself – the transformation, the robot and alt mode, and the non-existent accessories!

Mine has the same thing. It's not overly wobbly but it does feel a bit loose. Mine ratchets 5 to 6 times when I rotate it side to side but there're loose feeling gaps in between. Another thing that bothers me is what I think is a spring in his torso where the waist attaches. The darn thing even keeps the vehicle mode from tabbing together well. I tried to take him apart to see what was going on but I stripped the last screw behind the pin hinge.
Pictures I've seen online also show the same gap at the waist so I've tried not to worry about it.

To anyone who has him in hand, does Urs have a small gap between his hips and his torso and feels alil wonky? Cuz mine does or is this normal

So is this guy an exclusive somewhere? Because places have constructicons on preorder up to december and this guy isnt one of them….just wanting to make sure I didnt miss this guy at retail because spending 60$ on him from a seller in taiwan isnt the route I want to go.
jaraxel
where the hell are people buying this? I literally can't find it anywhere….

I only got Rampage, but Long Haul is the worst of the two. Hindered articulation, boring transformation with terrible shoulder design, arms openly visible in vehicle mode which completely compromise the alt mode… its looks nice on a shelf, for sure, but it's a bad toy and a terrible Robot in Disguise.
microclone
A pity that his combined mode ratchet/joints do not see as strong as for rampage, that does irk me a bit but not enough to stop me wanting what looks to be a fun devastator. edit: I notice that the ankle tilt seems to click (on some but not all??) but only in the extreme left or right position, I wonder if there's some qc/assembly issue there?

Surprised this one hasn't been posted.
If it has, please feel free to delete.

I\'m honestly disappointed. Studio Series strives for accurate scale and detail yet #1, This guy is way too small, and while I don\'t expect him to be 100% accurately sized (He\'s 65\' tall according to the ROTF concept scale charts, but more accurately probably more close to 30\' – 40\' based on what we see in the movie.) I at least wanted an improvement in size from the original. Like a leader class. But no, it\'s smaller. #2, this is a super innacurate truck mode, worse than the original. #3, the paint looks shabby.
Worse size, kinda poor paint, worse truck mode. (This guy\'s bot mode does look pretty decent though.) The only improvement I\'m seeing in this is that it CAN form Devastator\'s leg along with robot and vehicle forms. You may be asking, \"Well didn\'t they just choose him to be a voyager to make it even with Rampage?\" If they cared that much they could\'ve been even more movie accurate and also included a bulldozer and/or yellow dump truck to combine with Rampage like in the movie, and make it as tall as the theoretical Long Haul leg. (We see a yellow dump truck pull up in the desert and Devastator\'s leg has two sets of treads.) I did like how they included a Scrapmetal despite that not being entirely accurate because we see another bulldozer/front end loader combine with Hightower instead, but the fact that Scrapmetal AND Hightower are deluxes is so disappointing! Hightower definitely should at least be a voyager (the height in robot form is disputed but the vehicle is around 35 feet long, so a leader might still be better because of that big boom + jib.) and Scrapmetal should be a voyager.
So far I\'m really only happy with the Rampage, and even that has an innacurate paint scheme. Will I buy all of these guys? Yes. I like to find ways to combine the different constructicons (Supreme, ROTF main line/HFTD, and now SS) to make more complete looking Devastators. Plus I\'m definitely gonna want a Leader class Scavenger and Overload for the collection. Mixmaster will probably be good too, but the ROTF one already scales pretty well with SS. (He\'s the height of Ironhide in the movie and according to scale charts, and is around that in the toy.)
Sorry for the long rant on a semi-old thread.

I don't remember how early Rampage was release before his actual release date, but I wish it would be the same for this guy.

I have a feeling this guy is gonna be this year's Ironhide. He's just gonna drop on some random stores in Singapore or something without any formal preorders or anything and we're all gonna have to randomly grab him in the wild. Then those who didn't find him will be SOL unless they want to pay ebay scalper prices. I hope I'm wrong, but it seems to be that way so far.

It’s not up for preorder anywhere yet I believe.

Guys where do i preorder long haul, i really want this lad

I ran the math if dotm megatron is 33 feet tall and the studio series megatron is 8.75 inches tall 33×12/8.75=45.2571428571
devastator is 100 feet tall but only rises to 45 feet since he is so top heavy
devastator standing up 100×12/45.2571428571=26.5151515 inches
devastator hunched over 45×12/45.2571428571=11.9318182 inches

I'm thinking SS Devastator is going to be around the size as the original Supreme class which was only a little bit taller then a old leader class but a lot bulkier.
fishpop
SS Long Haul's proportions seem so compact.
He's chunky but just looks small.
DrOblivian
that's not actually hightower. It's a stand in model CG model from the prototype. the final Hightower design was not used in this picture. you can compare the arm to the actual picture of hightower's alt mode right next to it, its clearly not the same. only Rampage, Scrapmetal, and Longhaul are. if you look closely the grey scoop arm sticking off the elbow is just a copy paste of Scrapmatal's own.
we don't actually know what SS Devastator looks like aside from these three characters. all the pictures of Devastator so far are like that early prototype of Titan Predaking way back. just a stand in to show off the size.
