The new War for Cybertron: Siege line is sure popular among fans these days. The new Voyager Starscream mold with an alt mode based on his G1 Cybetronian Tetrajet form was sure highly expected for collectors.
Unfortunately, the robot chest flap’s joint was just a friction joint that usually popped off during transformation. This part had visible molded holes for a pin, and it seemed just a bad production decision. Twitter @SephStoryteller has tweeted some images of what seems to be a running change of this mold that includes metal pins to secure the chest.
It seems the no-pin molds were just a first run, so we should expect the next figures to include the metal pin. Check Siege Starcream if you find him on shelves, and let us know if you could find this improved running change.
Check the images after the jump and then sound off on the 2005 Boards

Locked and shut down. If more evidence is provided, this will open up again. Until then, it’s considered a hoax.

This thread should just be put to bed, as it is truly appearing as a hoax.

articulation and details are great

I think it's just a Japanese version of the stuff we already use in our own countries? Mm
Anyway, here you are:

Okay, I’ve covered 8 pages. This rumored running change has as much traction as a potential running change in this post.
Hella good repackaging or factory screw up?

Hey, I know nothing about working with tile. Is there a difference between tile snips and tile nippers? Is there a certain kind I should get?

Sorry, i actually meant the amazon link to buy that Japanese bsll joint strengthening white liquid bottle

Did you guys know the flap on the back of his head is a gap filler. There are groves cut out in the back pack for it to slide into: https://imgur.com/9lZOYHT

Found Screamer about 2 weeks ago at Walmart and bought him for my son. The nubs on the grey piece holding the chest in place were a joke on this particular figure. One side worked well while the other side didn\'t really work at all. Like most of us here, looking at the red side of the chest plate, I figured I could pin it.
Went to my local Lowe\'s and, in the specialty screws area [drawers], found a package of \"Assorted Music Wire\" which included a 6 inch aluminium 3/32 pin. (You\'ll need tile snips to cut it to the right size) Used a 3/32 drill bit for going through the grey piece on Starscream\'s chest. Once hole was drilled, I used a bottle cap to protect my thumb as I pushed the pins into place. Viola. Done. Works like a charm. My 9 year old son is extremely happy now.

Interesting, do you have the amazon link to buy it?

If you're referring to the floppy joints, then watch this. Don't worry about the language, as the video is fairly easy to understand.

Oh I don’t doubt it’ll get tweaked for future uses of the mold, I just doubt that the pin is an actual running change and as such won’t be easy to find because it isn’t a legit change
MWG
It may not get pinned, but I think they will tweak the design some for Thundercracker to make the chest plate stay on better, and that will carry over to Skywarp and (the probably happening) "35th Anniversary" version of this Starscream mold. They supposedly did work on some of the wonkier parts of Siege Megatron for the release of Select Combat Hero Megs, and those two releases came out pretty close together so it is possible for Scream to get a tweaked variant.

I bought Starscream today, no Pin on him, or any of the others at the store; But the chest does not fall off on mine as easily as the reviews, as in hasn't fallen off yet, but I see it wanting to, so mileage will vary, just go slow with it. But i needed to scrape off some paint on the connectors of the nose cone, they got stuck good together.
tigatron2002
low considering the "change" appears to be a hoax and the design works as intended
AutobotSeeker81
I wonder what the chances are that pins will be put in just for thundercracker and/ or skywarp.
Chainclaw
No pin on mine.
orangeitis
Yep, I'm waiting till Wave3 for my Screamer.
PrimalFury
So out of thousands or more figures, only 1 had the pin? I call BS, no one else has reported a pin, the OP must be trolling
