The official Linkin Park Facebook account has shared a very interesting announcement. Transformers 2007, Revenge Of The Fallen & Dark Of The Moon Soundtracks will be released as Record Store Day Exclusive Special Edition Vinyl.
The first three live-action movies featured a great variety of songs and bands which were part of key scenes during the films. Linkin Park collaborated with one song for each album: What I’ve Done (Transformers 2007), New Divide (ROTF) and Iridescent (DOTM).
The records will be available at stores which will be part of the Record Store Day on April 13, 2019. Each release will be limited to only 1500 colored vinyl. You can check out the official Record Store Day Website for more information about stores near your location.

It’s Bay. A director's cut would just be more explosions and sex jokes.

I am somewhat tempted to get these but I don\'t know if they would even be worth getting plus they don\'t even tell you how much they are going to be. So you like get to the record store to find out they are probably like 20 or 30 bucks a piece. But ya I would be all in if these were score soundtracks though.

"The v̶i̶n̶y̶l̶s̶ records will be available at stores which will be part of the Record Store Day on April 13, 2019."
FTFY. The plural of "vinyl" is "vinyl."
"LP's" and "records" is also acceptable.
As far as the records go, I would be excited for full Jablonsky scores.

Indeed. I usually try to hit up Record Store Day so this is on my radar anyway. The limited nature of it has me intrigued, more than anything.

I get what youre saying, but I was referring to the poor quality of vinyl. The only thing its good for is DJ mixing. So when they issue non-DJ music on vinyl and people buy it, it amazes me.
See I just dont get what people hear in vinyl. Im not an audiophile so I could listen to a record 100 times and I wont hear it. All I hear is crispy pops that sound like dust and dirt has invaded the grooves. Im a CD and MP3 guy. (burn mp3s to CD) I dont do itunes or streaming because it seems to be music for headphone only people. (People who have no car and dont live alone) But for me CDs was the pinnacle of sound quality. MP3s just made collectiing music more hands on. (And yes, free lol) I still buy vinyl from flea markets and thrift shops but only to get hold of rare music. (usually remixes exclusively for radio DJs) I rip it right to CD and often to MP3.

There's still plenty of albums that just sound so much better and more dynamic on vinyl, even some pretty recent releases. Then again, "loudness war" and other aspects of modern, digital music production are also a factor here. CD sound quality itself is obviously great, but vinyl format has it's own edge. Admittedly part of the charm is the visual side of it, like beautiful covers and such.

I know exactly how you feel in my high school days kids where wearing bell bottom pants now they don’t wear them any more really that type style of jeans was back then before I was born I didn’t like how they look in movies and tv shows I will not wear them in school and there not made any more they last year maybe two years that was it

I think I would have actually gotten these if they were the score. I don't even have a record player, but the idea of playing Arrival to Earth, Forest Battle and Sentinel Prime on vinyl would have sold me.

They go on sale April 13th at record stores (local shops across the country). There are a lot of exclusive vinyls from many different record labels so no necessary guarantee any one store will have the TF’s. It would probably be good to check with your local record store ASAP to request they order some of the TF vinyls to have in store that morning (or to hold for you).

I probably would consider the first one if I collected vinyl, has the most meaning to me personally out of all the films. And I really loved the songs they chose. I will forever regret giving away my cd copy to a friend… sigh

I'd be far more excited if it were the score soundtracks.

How exactly does this promotion work?

It feels weird having nostalgia for those Linkin Park tracks.

As an old school DJ hobbyist, I was always trying to find copies of my rare vinyl on CD so I wouldnt have to hear all that annoying pop and crackle stuff. Now all of a sudden people want that. I seriously dont get it. And its not like they are gonna DJ mix the stuff. Weird…
