Courtesy of friend site Toyark.com we have some images of the Jada Toys display at the recent Toy Fair where we some new upcoming products were announced.
Several of their non-transformable die-cast Transformers cars were shown (like G1 Optimus Prime and Transformers 2007 Optimus Prime in different scales), but there were some announcements that we are will catch your attention. First of all, a banner announced fully licensed 1:24 and 1:32 scale G1 Jazz and G1 Tracks. Both will include a collectible coin. Only placeholder images at the moment, but we are they will be great additions to any collection. For movie fans, a cool 1:24 and 1:32 Corvette Stingray concept Dark Of The Moon Sideswipe with collectible coin was also announced.
To top it all, the Nano Hollywood Rides 3-Packs were on display. These tiny cars (only a few cm long) come in G1 or Movie packs. The G1 trio includes Bumblebee, Optimus Prime and Sideswipe and the G1 Movie trio is composed of The Last Knight Camaro Bumblebee, Age Of Extinction/The Last Knight Optimus Prime and Transformers 2007 Camaro Bumblebee.
Check out all the images after the jump and then sound off on the 2005 Boards!

Do you have official info that says that? I contacted Jada earlier this year and they said the project is still in the works. But that was a while ago and could just be a canned cs rep response.

Most of these cars have been canceled

Minor update: my Walmart has been out of these for a while now, but today I went in and they had 4-5 of the FF sets, 4-5 of the TF movie set AND 2 of a Back to the Future set I didn't even know was out there! So maybe there are still new waves coming and because its a smaller company we're just not seeing the updates we get from a company like Hasbro

Maybe we shouldn’t get too excited about Jazz. A licence to make diecast versions of Porsche vehicles, held by a company that has made plenty of diecast Porsche’s before Jazz, is a lot more trusted with the licence than a company who makes robots that transform into cars, robots who use guns.
TL;DR, Jada make diecast cars, Hastak make robots with guns. The former is trusted more than the latter, and is more in line with Porsche’s philosophy.

The only new Jada Transformers I've seen is Bumblebee with Charlie.

So here we are in 2020 and still no release of the G1 mini cars.
Was there any news I missed or have we just not heard anything at all about it?
There have been 3 waves of mini Fast and Furious cars this year though (along with the Movie TF set)

We may get more reveals at SDCC.

Does anyone have a better idea when G1 Jazz and Smokescreen are likely to be released? I just got the 1:32 G1 Optimus (courtesy of Kapow), and I've only got one complaint – where's the frikkin' trailer? Other than that, it's a nice little Autobot truck (the Optimus molded underneath is a nice touch. Hope they do something like that with the others). I can't even bring myself to throw away the box which is pretty unusual for me.
I'm really hoping Jada go beyond Tracks and Jazz and do the other Autobot cars (and is anyone else thinking Stepper and Road Rage?).

Hasbro is only part of the release as a licensor same as Porsche. That's as far as their role goes here. They are not manufacturing or distributing this.
Jada got licenses to make items based on Hasbro owned characters and to produce cars based on Porsche's designs. I believe they already had the latter. This doesn't automatically give Hasbro a license to make a figure with an official Porsche alt mode. HasTak would still need to obtain their own separate licensing agreement with Porsche to do that.

I mean hasbro is part of the jada toys Transformers release. Whether or not they get their own release is tbd. But without a doubt Hasbro is license the Transformers to Jada Toys. Good point though that they may of used their own license to secure the actual vehicle mode i cant be sure.

I can't speak with any authority on the subject but one would assume that's not really the case, because Jada Toys has the Transformers license and the Porsche license. Just because they have the Transformers license, that doesn't magically mean Hasbro is involved with Porsche. As far as I'm aware, the most they would need to do is sign off on Jada's plan to sell Transformers-branded toys with branded vehicles (and vice-versa for the vehicle brands such as Porsche). I could be wrong – maybe there's far more involved – but I doubt Hasbro has much involvement in this at all.

I think their point was this is just a licensed IP Optimus Prime figure. Probably some kinda realistic-LIKE evergreen type design Hasbro has under license right now for 5 year period or something. I actually really like your take on things. I always thought you were, a ex-military TF fan into realism accuracy. I actually look for your posts in the air vehicle Transformers threads, to get your realistic opinion, the name and make of airplanes military vehicles and hear your opinion. But I TOO think a licensed freightliner Optimus Prime would be awesome!
Wrong. Kinda. HASBRO is part of this release too. HASBRO is the proud owner of the Transformers' IP & their logo is on%#. So this is very good sign Jazz will be coming in the G1 Masterpiece line by 2020. It will probably look exactly like this deco in the 1st release. Then later will be the PLUS (anime deco) version, probably super expensive by that point in time

Im down for ALL of the Jada 1/32 & 1/24 G1 and movie cars/trucks. Real car/truck models would be my preferred collection.
Because this is a license for a GENERATION ONE OPTIMUS PRIME, not a licensed truck.
"Thanks for playing, you been wonderful." lol
Same.
Right!
That be awesome! I hate the Masterpiece. They made his lower legs/feet all wrong and the wings are supposed to just be easy to pull out. They are not supposed to have to drop the trunk and transform a bunch of parts just to pull out and look shitty. Tracks V2 needs to happen at some point. But after JAZZ TRAILBREAKER HOIST MIRAGE CLIFFJ GEARS HUFFER WARPATH SEASPRAY WINDCHARGR POWEGLIDE & BRAWN

Those G1 nano cars look interesting. I guess I'll be looking out for them, too.
deathsheadII
they are using the transformers brand so hastak would need the license too
couldn't be anymore g1 style hasbro packaging
