Autobase Aichi has shared some in-hand images of the upcoming SS-39 Studio Series Cogman for your viewing pleasure.
The elegant Headmaster seen in The Last Knight gets a new redeco of his previous Deluxe figure from The Last Knight collection. Cogman now shows some great silver paint and darker colors, replacing the weathering effect on the original Deluxe toy. No remolds or extra accessories are included, but considering how hard to find was to find Cogman in the US, this is a great chance to finally gran this mold.
You can view all the images, as well as a video review, after the jump. Don’t forget to share your impressions on the 2005 Boards!

Now , this , is what I\'m talking about .. YAY !
Murasame
That mold would really work well remolded as nightbeat and siren.. Sigh

I'm so glad this is being reissued. The one toy from TLK I really wanted, and it was nowhere.
… I actually applauded at the photo of the headmaster in the driver's seat, that's my level of enthusiasm for this toy

I still prefer the old robot paintjob, this one looks too shiny and clean.
I like his altmode, but he doesn’tnlook Like a must have imo
Venixion
He's sleeek. I couldn't find him anywhere when he first came out.
James Sutterlin
Toywise cool. Why we got this guy though I don\'t understand.
Phenotype
I'm not sure how I feel about this. On one hand I'm glad he's getting a proper release, but I feel like the level of sculpting/detail isn't on par with the rest of the SS line.

See, the reason why I like this figure is that on top of him having a sword as a weapon, he can hold it properly, like he can tilt his hand forward, very much how you would hold a sword when your swinging it irl
they should add that kind of articulation to transformers with sword weapons tbh
Mudslide
Agree. Hopefully he won't be hidden by all the leftover Crankcases and clunker Bumblebees.

Before you get too excited, I should say that I live in Australia, so I don’t think it would have been much help to you US collectors even if I had reported it. Sadly, I didn’t actually realise he wasn’t showing up elsewhere at the time. I only found out how rare he was later. I don’t tend to keep up much with what’s showing up where. Maybe I should.
I know, I’m terrible. Bwahaha!

So glad for this. Could never find the TLK one. In fact the ones you can get are like $30 or More!!!! So Studio series version with the bester paint job will be a steal at $20!

Thisnis like a man in a pool complaining that the water is wet while men die of dehdration 5 feet away….
Kantus Prime
Oh my I’m actually gonna double dip on this guy

I'm pretty sure I'll grab him. Mixed feelings. On many fronts he is hands down superior- but in the places where they actually bothered to paint the original (he was lacking in paint to be sure), I think I prefer the original deco. Unfortunately doesn't look like enough of the right parts could be swapped to mix and match into an ideal. But at the very least he'll be a great display car. maybe bot mode too. Torn.

Who's to say he can't be for you? Your toys. Your rules.
Edwardmus Prime
This guy does look pretty good; he is covered in silver paint and has a cool sword that I feel compelled to give to Optimus for some reason (can we see a fancy colored rerelease of that guy too? Maybe with remolded in articulation…) Can always use more of the Titan Master gimmick.
Chaos Muffin
Wish his headmaster was a little Anthony Hopkins.
Cliffjumper
Might try to get this because I never got the tlk version
