Via Newage Weibo account we can share for you new color prototype images of the upcoming Newage Toys N-H3 Harry (Legends Scaled G1 Prowl).

Newage toys is sure coming in hot into the competitive Legends scaled market. Following their detailed and small N-H1 Flipper (G1 Bumblebee) now we have a great rendition of G1 Prowl. From the pictures we can see a very cartoon-accurate mold with a wide range of poseability, that makes you think if this is a Deluxe figure rather than a Legends scaled toy. N-H3 Harry stands 7.6 cm tall in robot mode and 8.4 cm long in alt mode. He also comes with his gun and 2 shoulder rocket launchers. From what we have seen at the past SGC 2018 in Shangai, Newage is planning to release the other Datsun-style Autobot cars too.

really love this figure, but i def wish the chest locked in flat instead of at an angle. took the bumper piece apart to see if i could design something, but the headlights are part of the bumper.

Got the new EX Prowl, he looks good. Took acouple of pictures next the other toy deco NewAge carbots and their WST counterparts. Hopefully NA gets to Wheeljack, Mirage and Hound soon. They were make great EX decos too.

speaking of. the real car where the Devil Zed was based from was not an S30 at all. rather, it was a heavily modified S130 from the notorious Mid Night Racing Team of Japan.

Just got regular Prowl. All I need is Bluestreak and I’m done cartoon Datsun figures. I also need to get a Ratchet and I’ll be done with on screen Autobots.

Edit: just got Bluestreak / Murphy off eBay. All I need is Ratchet for Autobots.

I agree he isn’t a g1 staple. Also bluestreak wouldn’t get any g1 redecos as they did that with “silver”streak and “blue” diaclone bluestreak. Although the diaclone bluestreak would probably look gorgeous in translucent form.

Regardless of the talks about barricade, prowl, and streak; I want smokescreen redecos. How about a g2 colored smokescreen. Let’s do that.

well an EX & T bluestreak and smokescreen makes 12!!! :eek: :p

I thought the Silver Bluestreak was the toy deco, he doesn't have the red eyes, but the rest of the paint job seems to match the toy.

@Testicules Prime, if you care to share there's one that has red eyes, right??? ;)

While I’m biased towards the S130 (280zx), that car is mean looking. I like it.

i don't know about ya'll but i just need this S30 Fairlady Zed in my life – proper fender flares, exposed intercooler, correct RS Watanabe wheels. bot mode would be a demonic/devil-looking robot befitting of it's moniker – Devil Zed. unfortunately not everyone might be that familiar with Wangan Midnight and this probably would end up for WM fans or none will be produced at all.

While I’m biased towards the S130 (280zx), that car is mean looking. I like it.

edit: also just clicked that my 2 favorite cars of all time are associated with “28” and “z” (Camaro and Fairlady)

i won't even start on barricade in general, as clearly he's one of your favourites and i'm not going to try to dissuade you guys of that. i can see and understand his popularity, but question him being a staple. so let's agree to disagree on that.

and i can't believe barricade's popularity is being equated to being the same as wolverine being a staple. to me that's just some crazy talk! o_O  :lol

I didn't say he's a G1 staple. I meant his character is now a franchise staple and the newer design is extremely popular. Prime Knockout is another example: C-list G1 character to A-list in the last decade(s).

Analogy: Wolverine wasn't an original X-Man but he's popular now in both his blue/yellow costume and brown/yellow suit. Classic.

But they carried that design to the new IDW and Netflix cartoons, so yes, I would consider it a staple and as popular as the Bayverse design.

Can you really call someone a ‘staple’ of a 36-year old franchise when he only got his first toy a couple of years ago?

I mean, I like Neo-G1 Barricade as much as anybody here, but I think you’re wildly overstating his importance!

Anyway, if I were NewAge and looking to pump out more G1 Datsuns, I’d look to the Action Masters for inspiration. Rad, Jackpot and Kick-Off all had car hood chests, and would be ripe for Datsun-isation.

THANK YOU! and that's the point why i don't think Barricade is a staple. he didn't EVEN start out as G1 datsun, he's been re-imagined as @Autobrat Leader says. him made popular or fan favourite recently from bayverse to IDW and now Netflix doesn't change that.

Well, from my viewpoint the Guido design is definitive Barricade for today's kids. My kid even has toys of Bayverse Barricade and he sometimes forgets who he is because the Guido version is more recognizable. You also have adults that aren't Bayverse fans and the Guido design has a throwback appeal that resonates with older fans. The design has been around almost a decade and keeps appearing more often, so I'd safely say it's a classic at this point.
