Via @barridrift867 on Instagram, we have a fresh look at the upcoming Studio Series Optimus Prime, based on his appearance from the Bumblebee Movie. This image shows Optimus Prime posed heroically in his robot mode, showcasing a wicked looking version of Optimus’ signature ion blaster. Via an earlier posting of the back of the box, we know that this Optimus turns into a flatnosed cab over engine truck, making this a refreshingly Generation 1 take on Movie Optimus Prime. The Optimus appears to feature a high level of articulation, and the robot mode looks very clean (although granted, we’ve not seen the back yet).
Check out the image attached to this post, and get excited for this new release coming our way in 2019.

That's my entire collection in a nutshell. Line mixing at it's finest!

Oof.

I know, it's taller, but I just want to see this comparison.

What does "scale" even mean, in this context? Just for size comparison, do you mean? The Strike Manus mold is at least a head taller than this.
KveTar
Hi there! Can anyone make a scale shot of SS-38 with Striker Manus or Striker Noir (or LT versions), please?

That explains why mine transforms better since I installed and painted the custom articulated hands I got!
MadMaximus
Well, I think I narrowed it down to the fists. I shaved off the front of the hands that seen to protrude out and hit the front grill piece and that helped to some extent

Best I found, was to line up the grill last – keeping in mind, that the grill lines up with only itself.

I would like to know this too. Ive tried shaving down multiple parts and it still sticks out some.
MadMaximus
is there a fix for the front grill in alt mode on this?
I know that there is a part that could just be shaved down..

I don’t even know what’s a kbb trailer…

Any pics of this guy with the kbb trailer?

When I did find one, he was returned the next day.
His arm wouldn't stay on at all, it would just fall off… then his legs wouldn't peg it very well, the back of cab was also curved. It was just horrible how bad the quality on it was.
On return they had another but just didn't want to bother after that.
He does look great, but in the end. I just found Siege more to my liking….
And now you can get KOs that are 1/2 (or less) in price and look just fine quality wise, so I might consider it … maybe.

Gotta wait for that live-action Beast Wars movie that they'd better make eventually or else I'll be sad.

It would be cool as hell to get Beast Wars figures with real world animal alt modes. Like don't get me wrong, beast wars was my childhood, and I love the animation models, but man it would be cool to see an Optimus primal that transforms into a real world looking gorrilla.
Shmoptimus Prime
Animated and Prime don't need it. The original figures are already good and quite accurate to their on-screen portrayals, and Beast Wars has already gotten CHUG and MP updates. Movieverse needed it because about 80% of the figures we got were inaccurate and based on concept art that was outdated. Almost none of the bots survived long enough to warrant updated and accurate figures, and they never had the CGI CAD files to work from until 2016. So they badly needed updates.

Random thought: what if we got Studios Series-esque lines for other aspects of Transformers like Beast Wars, Animated or Prime?
Rob
oh I can definitely see the decision to decide on Studio Series, but I feel it is largely a matter of taste, because they are both great quality figures.
