Don't make me tap the sign.

No you willfully misrepresented what was said. I can't teach you how to read, and it's getting tiresome to tell you the meaning of words over and over.
What I actually said:
What you claimed I said:
If you can't understand the distinction, I can't help you.
That's the thing, you ARE assuming. You've got no evidence to the contrary. You're just putting on your patriarchy goggles and telling me how bad this industry is that you have no knowledge of. I don't have to prove there's no problem, you have to prove that there is one. But you can't prove anything, you've only got rhetoric.
If that's your position, why are we arguing about this?
Still not what was said.
Parodying a completely rational question, boy I sure got put in my place. I didn't say no one cares. I asked why it should matter; a question that still no one has adressed genuinely.
So in the end, praise this award that does nothing but separate the genders instead of treating them equally. Keep perpetuating that there's an invisible force holding everyone back, that requires no proof because 'it a stone cold fact'. Insult your opponents instead of arguing rationally. And always misrepresent your detractors because there's no possible way you could be wrong.

As said before, i quoted you with merely nouns in place of pronouns, if that is uncharitable then… maybe a sensitive little duckling like you ought to stay off the internet or away from the surface dwellers?
I’m assuming the MOST charitable version of your statements; ignorant, as opposed to wilfully obtuse and trolling. It is a stone cold fact that outside of stringent double blind peer review process, women are prejudiced against in most orders of industry. I gave you an example for how it can be used in other fields and its been ignored to positive effect. The onus is on you to prove otherwise.
You are assuming that women are already treated equally in this industry which is… who believes that? Honestly?
This is just a dumb “yay womens” award and you took it to post some nonsense about how it makes you feel weird, and have doubled down on that well after someone has said identical content in parody form. So again, the most charitable reaction to your comments is abject tedium.
But by all means lets get back to the original point here for evidence:
And, ahem

So what these awards are saying is they did really well, even though they don't have a wingwang?
Well done women, you go girls!
Mako Crab
Or more likely, in an industry dominated by men (or at least perceived to be- I don’t know the numbers), where bringing in more women to the workplace is seen as a good thing, they want to send a very visible sign that they value the contributions women are making in their industry in the hopes of spurring more women to seek careers in that industry.
Granted, I’m just guessing, but these things usually have some purpose behind them.

Mattel will find way of effin it up anyway.
Orbitalchaos
Have toy seen Mattel's DC figures for 2019? Hasbro has some serious competition

You still got it wrong instead of letting my own words damn me. Because they don't. Instead you falsely paraphrase to make me sound worse.
You seem to have this thing where you don't actually read what's been said and just assume I said the least charitable version of it.
Even if there aren't equal amounts of male and female positions in that industry, you've got no proof it happened because of something nefarious. Your logic was because it happens in other places, it happened here.
That being said, I still believe it's more important to do the job well more than anything. But these awards tack on the caveat that they were only exceptional women, not just exceptional people. If you keep making distinctions then how are people supposed to be treated equally?
pluto
Well i quoted you with additional noun redundancy which is both journalistic and academic standard so honestly what?
As for your second point are you trying tro tell me that the toy industry is dominated by women or that womens success is assured in the fields of plastic engineering and marketing? Because…geeze that is a fucked hill to die on homie.
UTF
Then why are you incorrectly paraphrasing instead of directly quoting the sentence you're rebutting?
Bold statement. Do you know what happens inside the toy industry, or are you just parroting what you've heard about other industries on online news outlets?
I didn't say it makes women feel weird. Apparently you still can't read.
Is his point being proven?
Was my post "awful" or "terrible"? I haven't been insulting people calling them incels. It seems by your own behavior, you're the ones making this forum hostile and toxic. Just say what you actually mean. You don't like that I derided the awards you like, and now you feel it's time to throw a tantrum because no one who's decent could possibly have a differing opinion on this from yours.
pluto
I quoted you exactly with context. Its a well known reality that women dont suceed in male dominated industries, and that initiatives that celebrate women in a given field are a much needed rectification to unconscious bias in the workplace and in education. Thus the reason for STEM initiatives for young girls in high school and so forth.
The idea that things like this make women feel “weird” about their success is untrue. Cuz the only person feeling uncomfortable about women succeeding is, rather definitively, you.
But by all means keep it up Bucko! You’re only proving starscream gaga’s point more?
Haywired
I still hope Hasbro will get it one day.
Marvel Legends aren't the second coming but still it'd be more than Mattel efforts.
Deadend
I meant dimensions already is Marvel vs DC in sets and game form, by how you can take either to either's world.
With Lego, a lot of companies like the crossover stuff. It's only Marvel and DC it becomes an issue. Which it really shouldn't. For the others, it's very "heck yeah! kids will love that!"
Which means strong sales, and stronger revenues from the licensing.
But again, it's mostly Amalgam that'd be fun to see. Those fusions already exist and had comics.
UTF
I see you don't know how to read, and are just frothing at the mouth waiting for someone you can berate.
I didn't say women are not successful. I said when you act as if it isn't the norm, drawing attention to the fact they're women, the message you send is there must not be that many women that are successful at this. Otherwise you would just say 'look at these exceptional people', not necessarily 'exceptional women'.
T-Hybrid
We don't know what kind of legalese went into how those Dimensions games came together.
And even then, it's multiple franchises appearing in a single game… but still no sets crossing over.
Think of it like Smash Bros. Sonic, Snake, Mega Man, Cloud… they're all there, but you're not likely to see World of Nintendo toys for them.
Deadend
I meant that more as a joke about sets based on the original miniseries. Which would already have the top billings known from that as is.
But Amalgam sets should be done.
The video games cover enough of that too tbh, with Dimensions in particular. But still, Lego being one of the few that holds the license of both is one of the only areas where Amalgam things can be done like Ororo Monroe in the Wonder Woman outfit.
pluto
So uhhh, parody =/= vulgarity and i’m not sure how you could confuse those concepts. I mean you can be as polite as you like while expressing factually incorrect information like “when you single [women in business out] that it is weird and the exception” but it doesnt make your information less fundamentally incorrect. Do you live in the world? Women being succesful capitalist overlords is the exception? I mean bully for them, really. But if you gotta criticise industry awards then maybe do it for an idea that you didnt pick up scrawled on a public toilet door.
T-Hybrid
You know what what they say, "a hit dog will holler."
And boy they're barking tonight.
