We have an special report from our Australian 2005 Boards member griffin-of-oz. There is important information about the Bumblebee IMAX And Advance Screenings in Australia.
We have good and bad news about the Bumblebee Movie in Australia. Attention all fans there:
Bad news – Melbourne IMAX has had to cancel its screening of the Bumblebee Movie in 3D, allegedly due to a (last minute?) editing of the 3D IMAX version.
Melbourne IMAX have even removed their Bumblebee page from their Movie website. A very strange and unusual move.
Good news – Australia will have some advance screenings of the Bumblebee Movie, but only the weekend before its general release from Friday 14th December to Sunday 16th. Different from some other countries, these advance screenings will be available only in selected cinemas. Event cinemas is where you will find the advance screenings over the three days of next weekend, along with a Saturday-only screening at their outdoor “moonlight cinemas” in Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.
And if you live in Perth, you have a chance to win tickets to the advance screening, from 96FM.

SPLIT LIP
Which I guess would mean changing nothing, as he goes unnamed in the film and the movie's, like, already out. There was the early fan screening and dozens of screenings worldwide this Saturday.

It's because they're changing any and all mentions of 'Blitzwing' to 'Starscream', isn't it.

Bad news – Melbourne IMAX has had to cancel its screening of the Bumblebee Movie in 3D, allegedly due to a (last minute?) editing of the 3D IMAX version (or maybe the 3D version, which only affects IMAX 3D screenings).
Has anyone else heard something about this outside of Australia? Have the IMAX sessions been cancelled or delayed in other countries?
From Melbourne IMAX on Monday (DEC 3rd)….
Melbourne IMAX have even removed their Bumblebee page from their Movie website.
It sounds really unusual… being so last minute (if true), considering that the regular 2D version was obviously completed, as it has already had advance screenings in England and Germany in the last three days.
(then again… people had said that they noticed some minor edits in the 2007 Movie, between it's world premiere in Sydney, and it's general release a couple weeks later)
Good news – As with several other countries, Australia will have some advance screenings of the Bumblebee Movie, but it's only the weekend before its general release… Friday 14th December to Sunday 16th… and only at selected cinemas.
Event cinemas is where you will find the advance screenings (not at all of their cinemas) over the three days of next weekend, along with a Saturday-only screening at their outdoor "moonlight cinemas" in Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.
And if you live in Perth, you have a chance to win tickets to the advance screening, from 96FM.
If you can't make it to the advance screenings, it's only another 4 days until the regular sessions start on December 20th.
