Oh, I’ve did lots more than just these two jobs last year. Mega Man 11, Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth & WWE 2K19 to name a few of my favs. And yeah, that’s me @ 9:53.

Had to re watch this clip and to find out which spirit you were.
I'm guessing you were the one around 9:53; don't know where to find the Hel-walker though.
Anyway congrats on both this game and Bumblebee this year. Those are awesome projects to be a part of.
jon3pnt0
I’m one of the lake spirits & the biggest living/undead Hel-walker.
electronic456
I don't know what else to say, other than thanks for the reply.
Side note: Playing God of War 2018, where was your voice at? I saw that your name was in the additional voice credits.
jon3pnt0
All the actors were recorded separately. I met two actors I didn’t know. I’m afraid I don’t remember their names. Steve Blum & Grey Griffin were there for one of my sessions & David Sobolov was there at another but we all went in to record at separate times.
electronic456
I just want to ask if you actually got to meet people like Angela Bassett or Justin Theroux in the voice-recording booth as well.
jon3pnt0
Yeah, it was a one-liner like the others had in the Cybertron battle.
Galvatron1998
I believe you mentioned on Facebook that you recorded lines for Ironhide. If you're able to disclose any info, was he intended to have just one or two lines like the other characters? I was geeking out when I saw him in the film but was disappointed when I found out that he could have potentially had dialogue.

Mr. Knight wanted the voices to be as close to G1 as possible. I know cuz I specifically asked when I was recording for Ratchet as to whether he wanted the voice to align with the previous voice from the previous films. There were lots of actors all recording the same character voices. They definitely heard some original takes on the characters as well as some soundalikes. I’ll bet David read for Shockwave too. Almost 100% positive Blum recorded all the same characters I did.

I loved your Shockwave, although part of me wanted David Sobolov to reprise his role as Shockwave from Transformers Prime. But it's really cool both of you made it to the Live Action Films. I loved his Blitzwing.

The voices were fine, the movie was good. Can we move on, please?
Oktiduz
Jon, don't pay any attention to him. Anyway, lining up your voices with the G1 voices – they're indistinguishable. You have some serious voice acting talent and I would love you in more of these bigger movies
jon3pnt0
I happen to think the voices sound pretty dang accurate. Of course I would’ve loved to have heard Frank Welker and Corey Burton but since they didn’t bring them in for whatever reason, I for one am glad they still wanted them to sound like the G1 characters. But by all means, keep calling my work . I have an idea! Let’s all go to your job and talk smack about your work! C’mon, it’ll be fun!
Magnum Dongus
I don’t think so, but it could be just a temporary voice used for this trailer.
TheWarPathGuy
Frank Welker?

They are gonna kill Optimus Prime since you guys want it to happen

"Those are the Transformers we grew up on."
The 86 animated movie had plenty of violence and darkness in it, enough to form a legion of "you can't kill Optimus!" complaints. I wouldn't mind a little more of that sense of urgency and not knowing if a character will live or die.
Prime Aspect
I hope those cybertron shots are still in pre-viz status, because they look terrible. As in, not very high quality lighting, sort of decent (but not great) video game quality but a far stretch from what we expect from a AAA movie, or even from the other earth shots in the film.
Optimistic Prime
"Oh shit"

That's not what he's looking for. He truly wants buckets of blood, humans getting squished and characters dying horrible deaths 'cuz war.
That's not what Transformers is solely about. It starts with a war but becomes so much more. Building bridges between races, being heroes to those in need, bringing families back together, making friends and seeing things the world had never seen before. Yeah, there's a war going on, sometimes it's ugly, but there was inherently more hope than hopelessness in the whole franchise, it was always about change and changing from one form to the next and becoming better with that change.
War and violence and murder are not the end all, be all of Transformers and if anyone sees only that part of it, or wishes, to, well I recommend perhaps taking a break from TFs for a while and perhaps seeking some help because life can be hard and have some horrible times, but it also has some great moments and let's call them "miracles" and moments of joy and hope.
Good vs evil, PSAs, Optimus doing the right thing because he wanted to, not because he was guilted into it by some human compatriot. These were real heroes to us, they made us want to be better, they made us want to be someone else's hero. Yes, of course, they were a commercial to sell toys, but they had a lot of good to them, not a bunch of hatred and violence and evil.
Those are the Transformers we grew up on. Those are the Transformers Peter Cullen helped bring to life in honor of his brother who was his hero. If your Transformers are anything but those, they shouldn't be anyone's Transformers, then. Bay, Orci, and Kurtzman have damaged an entire generation of fans with filth, violence, and ignorance and the fans just want more and more of it so when something comes along that takes us back to the roots of it all, they whine and complain and want their torture porn fetish fed, and it makes fans like me (and the rest of humanity) sad.
Transformers is for kids, we're just along for the ride, enjoy it.
