Via Transformers Peru, we have a very unexpected item that surfaced at popular entertaintment and game center Coney Park Peru. Promoted and sponsored by Hasbro Peru, Coney Park centers are offering 6 fully licensed figurines of classic G1 Characters: Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Grimlock, Megatron, Soundwave and Starscream. My Little Pony figurines are also available.
The figurines come in small bags featuring Evergreen art of each character, so you can choose your favorite bot. They are about 5 cm tall, and made of painted soft vinyl. While you can choose the character and they technically cost $1.5, you can only buy them by recharging the game card at any Coney Park center with $9, so you get $7.5 of credit to play and you receive the figurine.
Curiously, they come in boxes of 50 items and labeled as “Figurine Transformers Bumblebee”. They will be available in 100 units per store and only in December.
A very unexpected item, considering that you should expect something related to Cyberverse or even RID. Peruvian fans haven’t seen official G1 merchandise here in decades. You can check out all the images after the jump and then sound off your impressions on the 2005 Boards!

For some strange reason, all these figurines seemed to have disappeared. They were supposed to be available for 2 months, but they only lasted 3 weeks. They were taken out of all game centers the day the Bumblebee movie premiered here. Then, they said the figurines will be available in January this year, but they never were seen again. The hardest to find were Optimus and Grmlock, and even in the local aftermarket, they are not available anymore.

To add more info. They figurines were retired from all centers immediately after the Bumblebee premiere here in December, they announced they would be back in January but they available in less chains and characters like Optimus or Grimlock were really hard to find. To date, they are not available in any store.
