Fans of IDW’s More Than Meets The Eye/Lost Light series are in for a real treat this Friday as James Roberts has announced that he’ll be hosting what is popularly known on Reddit as an AMA session! For those unfamiliar, that’s “Ask Me Anything” and this one is specifically for MTMTE/LL! However, this one will take place in a one-hour livestream on Instagram. Anyone wishing to participate and ask Mr. Roberts your robot-related questions can submit via Twitter using the hashtag #LLQs and find him on Instagram at j.roberts332.
The Livestream will start at 10pm GMT (5pm EST) this Friday, November 30th and fans will presumably have until then to submit their questions.

As promised, I've started writing up the transcript, including the full detailed explanation of the Rewind story (and you guys were right, that would have been absolutely wild, probably the greatest reveal of either series if it had happened) here:

I'm about a third of the way through, will put more in there tomorrow.
They kind of do, in that

That… Yeah, no, that makes a lot of sense actually, and is clearly almost exactly what Roberts had planned out. Definitely would've been nice though if we had gotten some form of this, one way or another.

You’re a good man and a good man deserves good rewards. Thanks for sharing!! Attached is my now guaranteed canon explanation tying into yours

Well, going from my memory…
So yeah, that's basically the jist of it, though I might be forgetting a couple details. It's worth pointing out that while Roberts was still all about the multiverse side of things (only getting cut due to the end of the current universe), he became less attached to ("became colder about" as he put it) to the blackmail idea, since it didn't fit into their development since those early days. So, it's basically up to reader's discretion about whether they want that stuff to be true or not. For me, it would've been incredible to see, but I'm almost glad we didn't. I think by the time the LL stories came around, their arc was done (imo), so this would've been almost… unnecessary, in a way?
(Although, as an aside, if that blackmail stuff does still hold true in the canon, then that adds a WHOLE new dimension to him operating on The Pet in Dying of the Light, and him insisting that Rewind could have Dominus instead of himself.)

Cmon don’t do this to me . I’m not near a computer for several hours!! What was that all about? I feel like the dude who missed half of the party…

Pretty good way to spend a couple hours! Some interesting stuff all around. To me it was fascinating to hear what he would've restructured/repaced if he had the opportunity to do it all again. Things like giving tertiary characters more of the spotlight (bots like Hound, Bluestreak, etc), changing Cyclonus' recovery period after his injuries in 47, and possibly not killing Trailcutter. And also him not being a great fan of the Troja Major arc. Also neat to hear a bit more about what his original Scavenger arc would've been like in LL and the context to that page Nick Roche posted on Twitter the other day. And, I mean, HOLY CRAP THAT REWIND V1 STUFF! I mean, wow. That's really incredible stuff right there. Makes sense for all the reasons he had to cut it, but still. Wow.
Also, as an aside, this was my first time hearing Roberts speak, and whatever I expected him to sound like, it wasn't what he actually sounds like (not saying that as a slight or anything, just as a funny observation on my part).
It's all archived on his Insta for the next 24 hours or so. Plus someone on Twitter recorded the whole thing.

If I get access to a recording, I’ll do a transcript. Blood promise!

Rewind
That was great, and he answered my random question “Does Rewind wear color-changing pants?” (Yes)

Because Reddit will not give him the social media presence he needs/wants and instead be confronted by various jokers as anons?

That Rewind 1 stuff was crazy. Probably the right call not to do it, but would have been a wild ride if he stuck with it.

Well James did answer my question about the Malware Brigade and it was spot on!
I could see the Malware Brigade being a covert terrorist group that's similar to the villains in Joe Ledger novels by Jonathan Maberry.
IDW's Fort Maxx would make a great Joe Ledger. Either him or maybe Skids!
