Unique Toys on Weibo has shared a small gallery of the gray prototype of their upcoming Unique Toys UT-R03 Dragoon – The Last Knight Megatron.
Unique Toys is bringing you a new third party option for Megatron as portrayed in The Last Knight film. The figure looks really solid and detailed, including his iconic battle sword.
While the robot mode really shines on his own, the jet mode may not be as accurate as we could expect, but keep in mind this is a prototype and several changes may be done in the future.
The images reveal a possible new accessory that could be included with this release: A new head for Unique Toys UT-R02 Challenger (AOE/TLK Optimus Prime).

Fuck I Had Plans On Getting Him

I bought mine last year on Ali and no challenger head was included

Sorry for the reply but does the “2023 Re Run” version come with the extra challenger head thats included?

My figure's right knee got super loose after a while but you can just unscrew it and take it apart and apply some brush on glue on the side to tighten it back up

I’m interested in getting one of these, how do the knee connectors and knee joints hold up over time? Both the pegs for the knees and the joint itself look like it would get pretty loose quickly.

I'm seeing that Magic Square, for some reason, is selling this guy on their website, billing it as a 2023 reissue. Has anyone purchased this reissue, and if so, any issues with the mold that may not have been there on previous releases?

While looking at that and UT’s supposed leg joint fix with Desparado, I wonder if the “masking tape” fix will also do the job for the Dragoon KO.

There was a tutorial, way back when people were first getting these in, that showed how the wings/legs could be slightly worked to prevent breakage while using a little bit of plastic mylar between a peg and post to also make the joints less wibble-wobbly.
Edit: Found it, this and the several posts after it:

Well ain't that a bummer. Wonder if the problem can be found in these areas tho…

Prevcisely. And also I believe that if you know you're getting a KO, there's a certain level of suckage that one should be able to tolerate. I speak for instance of the MP10 White Magnus KO. I paid like $40 for it new. Does it lack some of the special features of the original? Yeah. Does it use cheap plastic where there should be diecast? Also yes. Does it deter me from enjoying a good model and having some excellent shelf presence among the mixed bag of TT/Hasbro OG's? Absolutely not.
I knew full well what I was getting into and am quite happy with the compromise, to the extent that I don't consider it a compromise.

aha! so that's 2 KO's
but yeah I generally do agree most KO's are… questionable and tend to be pretty bad QC wise lately. Bought enough to know that first hand. But occasionally there can be good ones so I wouldn't just write them off completely.
BIOMEC
Yes!
VVa
No.

I think you got a dud, I have 2 copies and both are excellent figures.
Almost all KOs suck! They cut corners in materials and QC and put a coat of nice paint over it. WJ were the best, but they quit.
WJ Prime is the "only" KO I have, amazing figure, it improves over the original in engineering and aesthetics. I also bought it because the original sucks, QC and design wise.
Well… I don't know if you noticed, but that Starscream is DF's just because the original was impossible to find at that time.
octobotimus
Fair enough. Though I noticed a certain Optimus prime in the center of one of your pics.
that be a KO!

Yes because all KOs have QC issues and official figures do not.

Honestly, the original Dragoon feels like a KO to me. I was SO excited to get mine; I watched/read all the reviews I could (Sixo’s review is the one that made me pull the trigger) but when I got it, it felt so lackluster.
Mine can barely stand in an A stance without falling forward and the neck swivel is SUPER loose, even when I try to tighten it with a screwdriver. Also one of the “tusks” on the mask doesn’t properly align when the battle mask is closed. Unfortunately I also had some copper paint chipping straight out the box.
I really DO like the figure though. It has a massive presence and looks glorious. I even LOVE the transformation. But the neck swivel and knee/ankle design are the weakest parts of it and make it kind of a chore to pose and handle. Would have loved ratcheted knees somehow and a different sliding mechanism for the neck!

Sorry to hear that… But that's exactly the second reason I don't buy KOs
