I am not sure if this is news or not, but I found Energon Igniters Dropkick and Hot Rod in local store.

They have lots of play value snd they do transform. If your looking at these CGI pics especially of these 4, your not gonna get much but Megatron, Nitro Prime, Barricade, Power Charge Bumblebee, Power Plus Bumblebee, and im sure more to come all have great play value and are built well. Its nice to have non hollow limbs and pins instead of everything just plastic.
They are putting plenty of money into Transformers, they have made them for every type of a fan out there.

I don't think it works like that.
dCon
Thats exactly how I feel! Why do them wrong at all its obvious there has been like 1,000 changes since they first started the idea of the movie and the Studio Series has done a really good job of keeping accurate. Tbh the only figure i haven't really liked IS dropkick because it doesn't look like the movie enough. So they really should just hold off.
About these figures GOD Optimus Prime looks ugly. The Nitro version is actually a pretty cool toy. Comparably. And Blitzwing looks nothing like Blitzwing besides the face.

Siege. Studio Series.
MROptimusPrime
No they aren't.
Digger
Oh don’t worry. They are.
MROptimusPrime
They already have a gimmik, its called transforming. Put money into better figures Hasbro.

So "Digger and Combinerlove", on the first page of tfw2005 click on "Boards" and select the page "movie talk", from here look for my thread "Analysis of the robots in the Bumblebee film", and look on the first page my post dedicated to Shatter and Dropkick, where there are also two photos where I have compared the two TFs of the film with those that I think are the corresponding TF G1!
combinerlover
Interesting * Scratches chin curiously * Prey tell , what exactly might you have in mind ? You got me curious ..
Digger
Where can we specifically find it?

In the "movie talk" page, in my "Analysis of the robots in the Bumblebee film" thread I made my own hypothesis about Shatter and Dropkick… based on their physical characteristics, I selected those that I think are the G1 characters of reference!

I can't be excited about these figures.
I get their designed as a mid range toy for kids to want and parents to afford to buy, but man I really hate these dumbed down Transformers. As a kid (hell now even) one of favorite aspects of Transformers was to be able to figure the puzzle out. And hey I'm not saying Transformers CAN'T be simple I loved stuff like the Micro Masters, but these things lack any sense of creativity.
Their bricks you stand on end and flip the arms out.
I'm not seeing the play value in that…and frankly in my experience, which is two nephews now 10 and 12 the younger has a PASSING interest in Transformers which means he never asks for any of them but is happy to play with mine (I don't buy bricks mostly the more intricate collector aimed items), and the other…has no interest. So honestly…their not seeing the play value in the bricks either.
If you enjoy these guys or your kids do great have fun…but for me and mine…just not seeing it.

That would just be horrific and may just as well be a retool of Broadside. Whatever they reveal at the end of the month in London and Paris I guess we'll know what's due for the foreseeable future.
Lazerwave
Because of this, I'm starting to have doubts for a Blitzwing Studio Series. Either that or he could be a retool of an existing Generations Blitzwing.

Brand new character. And the only other Dropkick is a character from the first movie's game.
combinerlover
One can only hope that Shatter and Blitzwing actually have toy varients that allow them to blast between modes …Awee , the good ole days …..ROTF Devastator was cool , but such a let down …That toy was plenty big enough to have at least had even minor , even overly simplistic transformations from vehicle to robot to limb …But it always seems to be the path Hastak seems to take …., Simply release a FU*K ton of different toys/figures to represent one character … It isn`t anything but a Money racket , plain and simple ….I`m so greatful The PRIMES TRILOGY had actual TRIPLE CHANGERS
I`m just waiting on a G1 rendition of the modern INSECTICONS —All chromed out , shiny and glorious … Probably cost a first born son , but totally worth it ….I have to say , I am liking the over all , general FEEL of this film ( Caugh caugh Soft reboot , cough couch ….) I am a die hard G1 collector and child hood fan , and I may get a few boo`s for this ..but is SHATTER a brand new character ? , or some obscure MICROMASTER/Action Master ect ?

In that case we're not likely to see them for at least a year. But if they've already done a Bumblebee and Dropkick there doesn't seem to be a reason why Shatter and Blitzwing specifically need to be waited for. Why not just wait to do them all?
ObakaChanTachi
What if the reason we haven’t heard of SS Bee toys is because Hasbro’s waiting for final screen accurate ILM models?

Something I just realised about Shatter. Her jet based Engergon Igniter robot mode has both car and jet faux kibble, while the car-based one just has car faux kibble. Dropkick's energon igniter also has a different chest with just car faux kibble. So I'm wondering if this means they start off just as cars and then acquire their triple-changing ability during the course of the movie.
