And when some fans may have thought that the Legends line was over in Japan, Hobby Dengeki Web shared the first images of the new Takara Tomy Legends LG-EX Big Powered Prototype.
The resin prototype was shown at the All Japan Model & Hobby Show 2018. Big Powered is the final combination of the powerful Autobot Powered Masters Dai Atlas, Sonic Bomber and Road Fire. as it was shown in the Transformers Zone TV-Magazine pages.
From what we can see from the image, the 3 components are heavily retools (or with shared engineering) of Titans Return Misfire, Sky Shadow and Twin Twist. We still have to see the individual robot modes of each toy, but we are sure fans will be pleased this release. As usual with Takara Tomy LG-EX releases, it should be available via Takara Tomy Mall, but we have no specific release date or price point yet.
You can check out the images after the jump and then sound off your impressions on the 2005 Boards!

Oh sorry, i didn't read the qoute you responded to fully. Being in the big-powered thread, thought you meant that.
Robogeek28
I dunno, but I was talking about Rail Racer.

Has any of the LG-EX line ever had an OS KO made of them?
Robogeek28
I'm really surprised that an OS KO was never made.

The OG Railracer toy still stands up pretty well today, so that's always an option. (I have one and love it) It's still reasonably priced in the aftermarket, at least from when I've checked in.
A BIGGER one, though… hmm…
DarkSkull
Rail Racer is not a jg1, that do not mean they will not do it, but the success of Star Saber is irrilevant about the decision…
SecretWyvern
Raiden is cool, but you want to know who's cooler? Rail Racer.
Obviously there's enough space for both (There is Hasbro) and I want both but I will give a fairy my firstborn if I have to to get Rail Racer within the next 5 years

Fair enough on the Titan master gimmick but I’ve never been a huge fan. Not the worst thing in the world but definitely not my thing, you know? But yeah I hope to see more JG1. I think we’re getting Minerva next year so I hope 2023 brings a lot more.

The overwhelming success of the Victory Saber Haslab achieving 200% of what was needed for production could sway Hasbro to give more consideration to JG1 characters in the main line. Personally, I'm hoping for an affordable Raiden in the future.
I like this set because of the unusual vehicle combining idea instead of combining for a giant bot. Some complain that these characters weren't meant for the titan master gimmick, but it's my favorite gimmick so that's a bonus to me.
JazzAlert13
Ok sounds good.
And you never know. I wouldn’t have thought that they’d make a new Victory Saber a year ago but here we are. I’m definitely not holding my breath about it or anything but I’m also not going to give up all hope.
But yeah this guys seems pretty tight!
Treadshot 2.0
They're definitely not making a new one. If you want this, track it down, I'd say.

Hopefully Hasbro will do a HasLab Dai Atlas in the future. More JG1 with dedicated CHUG figures has me excited.

Yeah, I meant Fort Max. Was thinking about the Titan for Legends at the time. It would be huge and expensive.
JazzAlert13
The Metroplex or the third part Fort Max?
For the Fort Max I doubt it’ll come close considering just the head (Cerebro, right?) is $200+ and it’s supposed to be 4ft tall. So if it’s less than $1500 I’ll be surprised.
For the Metroplex I guess it all depends on what scale they use and how they try to do it you know? Cause they could go the route of having him be about Fort Max/ Scorponok comics height which iirc would be about 2-3 Optimus prime heights. But if they try to go for a bigger not in scale but huge bot, then that could easily reach $1000+
WolverineDragon
I wouldn’t be surprised if it goes around for Unicron levels of price.
JazzAlert13
There’s some third party doing a masterpiece scale (I believe) Fort Max and just the head is $200+. So expensive, I’d imagine.
Rodimus Prime
>MP Metroplex.
…how much would it even cost?

I would actually be quite interested in them running this poll again – since Takara didn't make Victory Leo, would that tamp enthusiasm for other characters who have combining with someone else as a semi-integral part of their character (which, ironically, just leaves FortMax and Big Convoy)?
