Good news for fans still looking for the Walmart exclusive G1 Reissues at physical stores. 2005 Boards member barrelks shared pictures of G1 Hot Rod reissue stock boxes sitting on the pallet at the two Walmart stores in Washington.
So far, there’s only G1 Hot Rod boxes were seen. According to the information on the boxes say “new modular set week 36”. It may refer to the Week 36 for Walmart’s fiscal year, which is the 1st week of October. The 1st through the 6th.
We hope the rest of the G1 Walmart reissues would be available on stores any time soon. Keep checking you local Walmart stores the upcoming weeks to try to find G1 Hot Rod for your collections. I found a lone Outback on the pegs yesterday at one Walmart. The corners were very soft and tattered like someone had stashed it under a floorboard somewhere… and it was still regular price.

Considering one of the walmarts here placed Primes on the same clearance shelf and mixed in with the clearanced Hot Rods I can understand why they would think Prime is the same price.

Same here. Been to Walmart’s around me so many times I can’t count and have never seen a mini bot.

and…..all of my WMs have had none (of the minis) the whole time…..and even though I subscribe to that nowinstock.net, I never get a solid hit on any of them. As soon as I get a text they are sold out. Not sure if I want to pay $20 per figure on the aftermarket.

I saw Swerve and Tailgate on clearance at my local Walmart. Also Transformers section is barren.

That probably IS a result of someone getting some of them at the Hot Rod clearance price.

a local wm here in east texas put the big orange and yellow stickers, not only on the shelf, but on every individual reissue prime as well! only toy that I've seen them do that to unless something's been clearanced out! they also put the yellow clearance stickers on the reissue minibots too…..even tho they're not on clearance but just regular price! damn shame!!

Did you check the Pop Tarts aisle?

brickseek is more of a guide than actual fact.

Are there still devastators out there? Brickseek, and even walmart.com are telling me there are a few for $20 at a Walmart near me, but I've been there several times since, and absolutely nothing.

Depends on where those TRU are at. Most TRU do not spiderwrap those things – although most DO have some sort of security on games and/or small electronic devices.
No. Just no.
NeilJam
Managers at my store were going to slap security stickers on MP Soundwave before I pointed out collectors would hate that. They went with the spider wraps and kept the figures at the service desk instead of putting it on shelves with the other TFs.
Insane Galvatron
This is happening because of all the people buying them at Hot Rod prices…
Blackout32
Oh ok cause i remember when my TRU was open they only spider wrapped games and electronic devices. So seeing that optimus prime that way was a little weird for me.
Chillyn
Toysrus used to spider wrap all the MPs and things like the citybots. Made me cringe everytime.
Blackout32
I've never seen a store spider-wrap a transformer. I guess their afraid optimus prime is gonna drive out the box and into someones coat or jacket. Well i guess there's a first for everything these days.
80sboy4
Oh no! Why would they do that? Clearly not thinking. That just makes me cringe, especially at that price point.

Wow, not just wire wrapped but top flap with words “The Transformers” is bent all the way back and wrapped around the back. Just destroyed the sales of these.
