Hasbro have sent us some high-resolution images of their Generations: War for Cybertron: Siege promotional posters. We’ve got two in high resolution for you to enjoy: one showing the entire cast so far, and another focusing on Optimus Prime himself. Both are awesome pieces that would make for nice desktop backgrounds. Check them out attached to this post.

The best thing that will come from this line is gonna be the Titan class Omega Supreme.

You wouldn’t think it would be that hard.

Epic artwork.
I liked the posters that were done for the PW trilogy, also. Not the Machinima ads, but the "Courage is stronger when combined" posters. This reminds me of the 1986 movie art, in particular the work that resurfaced and was used for the 30th anniversary 4K transfer Bluray.
I'm not sure I'll be as meticulous about collecting this line as I was PW, though. PW was a nearly comprehensive update to G1 and thusly the self-contained line previous "CHUG" collectors had been dreaming about for years. PW virtually killed the need for the CHUG approach to G1 updates. I'll definitely fill-in some gaps, as long as the characters represent their G1 earth modes, like the new Sideswipe.
My G1 update collection is now (sans 1980s originals) made up entirely of Generations and Masterpiece (no Classics, Henkei, or Universe). For shorthand, I'm calling this approach… MasGen

I miss BB in generations

Maybe Optimus and Megatron appear as Star Wars style Holograms to their Field commanders, I would love to see an animated detailed history of the origins of the war, how bots on both sides were recruited like the IDW Blurr spotlight issue, Cities rising up and falling, the attraction of Decepticon ideology. Doesn’t have to come from IDW back catalogue but would love to highlight bots skills, reasons for fighting, strengths and weaknesses touched upon. Tech spec bios explored as a natural story telling process. Would go nuts for this, new characters can be integrated whenever as just part of the exploration of world building.

I agree with you. Sadly, at the same time there are all of those fans who would loose their goddamn minds if they stray from this path. I myself am ready to see a new side to things; not necessarily a 100% overhaul, but maybe for once we don't see Optimus and Megatron? And maybe things don't always have to come to Earth? If they would have a little more fun with it there could be new "generations" if you will, where it's still Transformers, but it's a new crew with a different thing going on each series.

Looking at all the design similarities between all of the New Lines, Yes it's Brand Alignment.
Arguments can be made Every line after G1, is a G1 Comeback; with exceptions to the Japanese Continuity.
… yup G1 inspired comebacks.
G2 is just a repackage of G1
The Beast Era is a Sequel of a G1 inspired backstory.
RID, The Unicron Trilogy, Animated, The Align Continuity, Bayformers
It's actually harder to find original elements. I think Hasbro is afraid of telling a story, or even original names "Cyberverse", "Robots in Disguise", and "War for Cybertron" so far. Lets focus on story, Hunt for: Resources, Energon, Minicons, Relics, Character development Checkpoints, Macguffins, and "The Chosen One".
We don't have any story points were the Autobot proactively set Goals or Objectives, with there war against the Decepticons, instead they rely on Plot Conveniences, or playing keepaway.

Is this kid-safe grit?
I'm starting to see a very war vibe… but with no blood or gore. And if there's one thing I loathe, it's the depiction of a glamorous war without any violence.
In other words, since Hasbro is focused on child safety… MAYBE doing a war theme is a BAD IDEA.

So is this G1 or is Aligned making a comeback?

3rd Party companies, get on it.

I think you guys might be right about Omega Supreme not being the Ark, although as I loved Animated I'd really like to see an Omega Supreme Ark someday!
Thundershot
The dinosaurs were long gone when the Ark crashed. That was only 4 million years ago. Dinosaurs were 66+ million years ago. The Marvel Comics were clever about it because they utilized the Savage Land.
In any case, Seige is an oddity as they claim it’s the last days on Cybertron before the Ark left, yet we also have Micromasters with Earth modes. Time travel? Hey, Swindler IS a DeLorean…

Sort of like that BW release they did for the 20th anniversary.

I think this year makes BW's 22nd anniversary, so Hasbro while likely make a 25th anniversary line for them in 2021 (late 2020).

The Combiners from Beast Wars and RID could be a thing, i'd love an updated Landfill and Railracer.
Energon Combiners could also be done i guess, then there are all of the Japanese combiners as well.
Wouldn't be surprised to see them all at some point

This line can't start soon enough. Maybe if they do another animation adaption like they did with Prime Wars on Machinima we'll get lucky and it'll be 2D and done well. Although with the IDW comics coming to an end this does seem like good timing to do a comic counterpart for this line.
