Thanks to Autobase Aichi, we have our first look at the Commemorative Coin included with the Beast Wars Masterpiece MP-32 Optimus Primal Reissue.
This reissue comes almost as the same time as the release of the Masterpiece MP-41 Dinobot, giving fans the opportunity to grab boss-monkey if they missed the original release. As a nice bonus, Optimus Primal finally receives a proper collectible coin. The box resembles Optimus Primal’s chest and the die-cast coin has Optimus Primal’s robot face molded on it.
You still get this reissue via our sponsors below. You can check out the images after the jump and then sound off on the 2005 Boards!

Can anyone help me track down the wrist communicator upgrade? It appears to be the first thing shockwave labs ever put out, and it seems everywhere is out of stock, and I can't find anything on shapeways either.
Sam
For a comm-link accessory. Which will probably be included with a future repaint, or maybe Rhinox one day.
Mykltron
Does anyone know why his left forearm has that oval recess with a round hole in the middle? When I noticed it I thought a part had dropped off.

Yeah TT really need to do some work on paint duriblilty or come up with an alternative solution. Alas it doesn't seem to be high on their agenda right now.
Yup those who's crutches have broken have opened up the crotch and found is mis-assembly to blame. There's been good research done into it in the MP-43 Megatron thread (you will need to wade though many pages to find it though…unless I can locate it humm…)
Edit: here you go courtesy of @Jarrod MP-43 Beast Wars Megatron
Kapow is a good option, I'm not sure prices on him will ever drop but at least you can be sure of a replacement if you get a dud.
Nate98
You're welcome, still thanks for the advice. Yeah, I noticed that with him and MP-36 Megatron, both fantastic figures but theres always going to be a downfall and it seems to be the paint.
Really? So thats what the breakages could be caused by? If thats the case then I might get MP-43 from KAPOW over the next month or so, maybe after Christmas so his price could go down. He looks like a fantastic figure and would go well with Primal. Thanks! (If any breakages occur, I can always get a replacement so it's not too bad)
GALVATOM
Follow the order of transformation in this video and none of the painted fur collides.
Booster Gold
Heh, thanks for the kind words. I do what I can but there are many more knowledgable than I and many great posters on these forums who will help you out.
He is amazing, unfortunately the paint issue is just something we have to live with in order to have this fanatastic figure…it's a fair trade off in my opinion.
Thankfully the breakages on Megatron appear to be due to some mis-assembly and are not widespread. I wouldn't not get the figure based on that, you'd be doing yourself out of one amazing Masterpeice otherwise. Chances are your copy will be perfectly fine.

Thanks for the reply, I've seen your posts on multiple boards before making an account and you're usually are the go-to guy for this stuff!
I see, ruining the finish is what im fearing as it gives him that texture the CG model had. I love the figure, I love the transformation and posing it but the chipping is a pain. I'll just have to be careful like you guys suggested. He's a phenomenal figure, I was hoping to get Megatron to go along with him but the reports of breakages on him are YIKES.
Thanks, happy to be here
Booster Gold
You could clear coat some areas using modelling varnish or floor polish but I fear it might ruin the matt finish Primal has. Unfortunately the only way to avoid chips is to be REALLY careful when transforming and handling him. What @GALVATOM suggests will only go so far, pretty much all the Beast 'skin' is prone to scuffs and scratches.
Aaaand welcome to the boards

Thanks for the reply.
I see, probably best to see if anyone else has. I haven't either as you can tell but Im just curious if it would fix the paint chipping. Probably transforming him in the way you specified might alleviate the chipping on the thighs.
Thanks, happy to be here and the other MP I own is MP-36 Megatron, I also preordered MP-44 as well so I'll be up to 3 soon, lol.
GALVATOM
I've never clear coated anything so we'll wait for someone else to answer that one for you. If you don't want to go that route though you can transform his stomach and chest first to give you the clearance needed to rotate his upper legs without rubbing against anything. Welcome to the boards, what's the other mp you have?
Nate98
Hey guys, Im new to TFW2005 boards and I just got myself an MP38 reissue in the mail this morning. It's my second masterpiece and I love it, probably my favourite TF.
I have been careful transforming him but I have seen one or two paint chips appear on the figure, especially around the thighs. is there any way of preventing further chipping and not ruining the toy like using a clear coat or future polish? Thanks

No 38 was remolded from the start.

Hmm, I have my copy of mp-38 stored somewhere, so can't check – does it have the same shoulder problem as the original mp-32 release?

Hmmm. My jet pack was basically fused together as well. I had to push much harder than any other time with an MP. It did give way though. After some swearing haha
Sam
They're stiff, but just keep trying and they'll turn eventually. Needs a little bit of a push.
crazee928
i forced the crap out of mine after watching countless video reviews to see whether i was missing something. it eventually gave way and had an audible click, as if some flash plastic finally gave up and loosened the jet pack. now it rotates freely, but that level of “breaking in” was more than is comfortable for me
Atomsk
Thanks, looks like I picked up the reissue. Overall its absolutely amazing, but i cant flip over the jetpacks… it wont budge

You can also check the date stamps on the bottom of the box and on the figure itself. It’s a 5 digit code, the first being a letter representing the month of manufacture (A=Jan, B=Feb etc), followed by two numbers for the date and two numbers for the year.
