Hasbro is teasing out images (via Game Informer) of the next Transformers Generations line of figures a bit early ahead of San Diego Comic Con 2018. The tagline is War for Cybertron with a sub-sub tagline of Siege. So “Transformers: Generations: War for Cybertron: Siege” (or something :)) Shown off are Optimus Prime, Sideswipe and Firedrive. Firedrive is what they are calling a Battle Master and seems to be in the smaller price point range of $5.99, converting from mini-bot to weapon. Optimus is a Voyager at $29.99 and Sideswipe is a Deluxe at $19.99, both with a very G1-esque look, yet Cybertron-ified.
What is interesting is that the original War for Cybertron name usage was associated with the awesome Activision / High Moon console games. And today, this new line has been revealed via Game Informer, which is primarily a video game website. Are we getting a new War for Cybertron style video game? Time will tell!
Stay tuned for more as the line gets revealed in more detail next week at SDCC!

And suddenly I'm reminded of Beast Machines.
Megatron:"I gave you power, I gave you life."
Cannon:"You… gave me…NOTHING."
Vector Oracle
Man,these pictures are making me want Seige Megatron more. He really does look good. I guess it just depends which angle you take the pictures from, because he doesn't seem to be as photogenic from some angles.
I just noticed this today, but Siege Megatron looks like a G2/Armada mashup in tank mode. That's nifty.

anyone know if the G3 trailer fits prime?

Like a Minicon port ?
Does that mean you can put an Iron Man style chest blast on an Armada Minicon's chest then ? Thought I think the pin on a old Minicon port's centre might be the wrong size. Like the handles on a takara targetmaster – they don't fit as the hole is the wrong size for a minicon port. – not that it matter as the ports are backwards anyway and they have a 5mm hole on them anyway.
I would be interested to see Fire drive partnered with Titans Returns Hot Rod sometime.
Dinobot Snarl
Just got Prime, the joints have this amazing perfect amount of resistance and he's got the heft of something made a decade ago. The windows are using the old method of trans plastic under normal plastic WOW!
Purple Heart
If they do, it’s un-intended. The fit over 3mm pegs.
Max Tower
It looked about the same size as a Prime Master's head or the port on an enigma – that was why I was wondering if they fitted in there.
Speaking of backwards compatibility – does the blast effects from a Battlemaster or others fit in Hardheads cannon or the engines of the Blurr/Arcee/Brainstorm mould family ? Or are they to small. what is the post size for the effect pieces to plug on or in with ?
incapable hulk
Yeah. There are peg holes on either side.
Purple Heart
Nothing.
Max Tower
Thanks for that.
I'm wondering what is that square hole in the end of Megs arm cannon for ?
Purple Heart
Not my pic, but yes.

Max Tower
Can you mount that gun on his back pointing upwards anyplace ?
Starfire22
It's okay.
smkheidze
Sadly it will have to wait until tomorrow… As I am no longer at the office.
Starfire22
Sunstreaker would do. He and Sideswipe are the same height.
smkheidze
I would, but this is my only CHUG figure currently… I'm an MP guy….. And obviously a Sideswipe collector as well. I do have a couple of old universe CHUGs (hound, sunstteaker and other Sideswipes) at the office, but nothing recent.
