It’s just a little over a month until TFNation 2018, and TFNation have shared several updates about the show.
Topping the list is the schedule for TFNation 2018, which includes on the Friday a challenge to endure one of the worst Transformers dubs ever (Billy? New Soundwave?) and then later that day, a panel for the traders to share their experiences selling us all toys. The Saturday includes panels with actors Daniel Riordan and DC Douglas, comics writer Mairghread Scott, and Transformers designer Aaron Archer. The Sunday includes a panel with the one and only Stan Bush!
But that’s not all, because the fans also have the opportunity to run their own panels – see more information on “Fan Friday” panels here.
TFNation will also be offering merchandise once again this year, including an exclusive Generation 2 comic – done in the style of the Ladybird Transformers books, if one had been made during Generation 2. Generation 2 is a theme, because there’s also a Generation 2 teddy bear this year, along with the usual T-shirts and a poster.
TFNation 2018 will also see the return of the annual Cosplay contest, with details on how to get involved here.
This year, TFNation will also be having a toy display. Changing direction from 2016’s Rock Lords and Beast Wars displays, and 2017’s Brave display, this year we’ve got a kitbash display – take the opportunity to show off your custom work! Find out more about that one here.
Of course, saving the best for last – the dealer room is back this year, with two posts here and here listing all those traders in attendance, and a further post here for those traders in the Forge area of the convention.
TFNation 2018 will be taking place over the weekend of 17-19 August 2018, at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole in Birmingham in England. Guest will include former Hasbro Transformers design director Aaron Archer, voice actors André Sogliuzzo (Revenge of the Fallen Sideswipe), Daniel Riordan (Robots in Disguise Megatron) and D.C. Douglas (Rescue Bots Chase), IDW comics writers Mairghread Scott and James Roberts, artists Alex Milne, Kei Zama, Nick Roche and Jack Lawrence, colorist John-Paul Bove, UK Generation 1 comic artist Mike Collins and Robo Capers artist Lew Stringer, and last but not least, musician Stan Bush (The Touch, Dare)! Check out the TFNation homepage for more information.

I don’t believe there is one? There’s nothing on the schedule about one.

There were some phenomenal costumes from TFN I've seen on Twitter, as well as several meet-ups. Looks like a really, really fun event!
Also Nick Roche introduced Stan Bush for his concert!

I need to know this.

Car parking is over £15+ a day if you aren\'t staying at the hotel while its £12 a day if you stay at hotel no free parking other than just 15 minutes. (a day being 1300 – 1300 only if you stay after 1300 you have extra £5 to pay)

A quick heads up that the trains from London to Birmingham this weekend are severely messed up. Euston station is going to be completely shut, so no trains will be running in or out of there either Saturday or Sunday (travelling up on Friday will be fine).
Your best bet is to go from Marylebone, go up to Birmingham New Street, and then change for a train that stops at Birmingham International.
More information here.

Does anyone happen to have some spare Reprolabels faction stickers?
I've got a guy 99% done for the custom figure display at TFN, but Toyhax's UK shipping isn't fast enough to get a Decepticon symbol before the con and he just doesn't look complete without one ; _ ;

Free if you're staying at the hotel. Otherwise… uh.
Website says £12, but doesn't specify if that's all day or not… I assume it is.

A mate has just had to cancel his Saturday night Hilton room at TF Nation, so there may now be a room available at the convention rate should anyone require it!

Just pre ordered the exclusive book that homages the old Ladybird series. I still have them all bar the Movie.
Didn't think I'd make the convention this year but I just booked everything today.
I can't wait for it now. Looking forward to catching up with friends I've made at previous conventions.

Hey, Does anyone know how much parking is at TFn?
