With special thanks to several TFW2005 Boards Members, we have with us, a large collection of brand new stock images of Transformers: Cyberverse Warrior Class Shockwave as well as the first wave of Ultra, Ultimate and 1-Step figures of the same line.

While the rest of the toys are new, the 1-Steps are repaints of several figures from the Transformers: Robots In Disguise line.

I mean no disrespect to anyone who likes these figures but I personally feel as though they aren't up to the standards of a toy. (Well, mainly Starscream and Bee. The rest of the line looks fine imo.) The subpar quality of some of the Warrior class figures is unfortunate especially considering what else can be purchased for a child at this price point.

Yes. I have three nephews (ages 3, 6, and 7). I'll go as far to say that most kids under 10* give zero fucks for things like articulation and overall complexity (the simpler the better really), and that they LOVE gimmicks. The two younger ones get more play value form the copy of Cyberton Buzzsaw, or ROTF legends figures, I gave them than any more complicated ones that they just can't use. So the simpler toys from the last two movie lines and RiD15 and now Cyberverse are an acknowledgement of the reality of things and nothing else. Kids just plain can't use even a Prime wars generation toy very well.

*Before anyone brings it up, kids of collectors are being HEAVILY influenced by their collector parent. So you can't really count that.

man thanks for reply. i was just grumbling myself in fact… i just feel a little disappointed when i think about that generation toys were way better than these new series. maybe its time to move on:oops:

Was hoping for Shockwave to be closer to the WALGREENS version. Love the size, need a bit more movement, and I am not talented enough for the mod stuff.

I wanna see that Warrior Shockwave retooled into Scrapmetal/Ramble/Rumble because that altmode and cannon placement are dead on.

Honestly the best looking one seems to be Megatron. But for my young kids, these would be perfect.

Was redoing my shelves to make room for some minor figure re-ordering and changing, and messing with Cybertron Scrapmetal and he's pretty much a Scout class version of Cyberverse Shockwave. That's a neat homage if it was intended to nod that figure.

Now I kind of hope they do Cyberverse Rumble and Frenzy as retools of the Cody 'Ramble'/Scrapmetal to go with it.

Oh I wasn't knocking at you, just noticing in general that everytime this happens people that hate it say "I know a kid that HATES it" or "As a kid I would've HATED IT!!" and the ones that are fine with it say "I know a kid that likes it" or "As a kid I…"

Feels like it happens everytime

They're basically saying "I, an adult who has not been a child for at least a decade, am qualified to speak and be angry on behalf of today's children."

After watching Thew's review, It seems like Shockwave's legs can actually move and poses independently at the hip joint; Which I glad. On the other hand, it's weird that Shockwave has independent hip joint articulation while Starscream's hip joints on both legs are linked together.

The spider walker alt-mode is a bit weird, even through it's not the worst alt-mode that I've ever see on a Transformers toy.

Hmm… not really. The only figures in the POTP line that has those foil stickers are the Voyager class and Leader class figures. The Deluxes, Legends and the Prime Masters didn't use stickers at all for deco.

I watched his review as well, now I can't unsee the alt mode as Shockwave doing the backwards walk thing from the Exorcist lol

Here's a review for Starscream. Its classics two pack prime v2! :lolol  from the waist down no articulation I'm all for gimmicks and kid friendly lines but this figure seems like garbage even for kids.

Yeah, that thing is terrible.

Pretty bummed out by how weak these toys look. I really dig the designs for Cyberverse.

They’re on their phones in forums bitching about the adults not understanding the kids not understanding their elders.

Shrug, the kids I see on here are usually just enjoying the figures they have.

I wish Hasbro would do an honest photo shoot using scruffy middle-aged men instead. They can still show kids… just in the background glued to their phones, completely apathetic to the new action figures.

At least said kids are doing something more interesting on their phones than bitching about toys and the youth they don't understand.

Sigh….. They know we want a quality Voyager class Shockwave in the CHUG line but I guess Hasbro will keep making half-assed versions as long as we keep buying them. So this is where I stop.

That's why I have beast hunters shockwave and before that energon shockblast. I haven't been hurting for a chug shockwave for quite some time
