Cybertron.ca has reported that the next Generations Titan size classed figure has been found at Canadian retail. Black Spider Boy on the Canadian Transformer message board reports finding Power Of The Primes Predaking at a little store called Toys R Us. The figure set is priced at $229.99 plus tax.
Titan Class Predaking includes five voyager-sized Predacons and one Prime master:
- Razorclaw
- Divebomb
- Rampage
- Headstrong
- Torox (Tantrum)
- Onyx Prime

Takara is reissuing their version of Devastator. It's not the $140 that the Hasbro Devastator sold for, but it's the original $220 that the Takara (improved molds, added weapons) version sold for, and still better than $400.

They don’t open. They molded it to look like they do, but the jaws are a solid piece.

Does headstrong and tantrum have opening animal mouths it looks as if they will open but i cant get them to budge at all?
Lazerwave
I thought I was bummed when Toysrus sold out of Predaking. But I read the collector store in the next town is selling preorders $10 cheaper.

Thanks Hunter. Yeah, a lot of people have mixed feelings, but I honestly love the way he looks. I really like their Predacon modes as well. The figures look great, only thing about them, are the combiner port backpacks. But hey, they aren't the first transformers with backpacks lol, tons of them.

Why bother? He's dead now anyway. Just wait for him to show up at Ross or Ollie's.

I'm going to hold off on the high prices up front on this one. It has bargain store special written all over it with the reports of low quality coming out of Canada. I sense abundant quantities on Amazon Warehouse Deals in our future.
MelodiousGiant04
ahh I missed that.
MegaZarak
We can only dream…
MegaZarak
as stated on their website: NOTE: These are IN-STOCK early release copies from overseas so pricing will be higher.
MelodiousGiant04
Toy Dojo is selling an “early release” for a $40 markup. Uhhh is that common?
lordcryotek
That show is just great. I wish Hasbro would grow some sense and realize how much quality fiction does for a brand. It's insane how long it has been since we've had a good TF show. Imagine Predaking, but animated as well as the Voltron show…one can only dream.
bradforj
The Netflix Voltron series, and the toys, are pure class. Voltron is doing it right.
goldenboy1on1
I completely agree. Less is more. Less figure for the purposes of just releasing figures and more concentration on better quality figures that actually had relevance is what i would like to see.
Canbot
I think that if Hasbro and Takara spent more time making the main combiner teams better quality toys rather than just putting out dozens of figures and teams who weren't very popular in the first place, that would have been great. The price points were fine for most of them. Did we really need G2 versions? Or Victorion? Or a bunch of others?
Shame to hear this overpriced set (even at CDN prices) is getting reports of feeling cheap. CW Devy level is what I expected. This costs literally twice as much.
HASBRO. What are you THiNKING?

Nice work kid.
From what I've seen and read online about Predaking, he seems pretty solid compared to Devastator.

WTF $88 for shipping from Robot Kingdom!??!?!?!?
Jacewiththeface
I will still be getting Predaking, since I could not get Devastator and he is now like $400. I'm a (starting after summer break) Sophomore in Highschool with no part time work, and pretty much the only job I get, is Yard Work in my neighborhood. So I'm not going to spend $400 on a Titan Class that was originally $160. I guess I just missed out lol. Plus Onyx Prime looks pretty cool, I know he is going to be hard to get otherwise. I'm honestly looking forward to him.

I have been noticing that! I wonder what the sales are for Transformers at Target at this point. I think the majority of collectors buy online nowadays (besides scalpels, and some parents buying Transformers for their kids) that could be a reason for decline and lower Transformer sales in Target, That would probably be why there is such a small section, they don't want to put out more than what is being bought, and don't want to waste shelf space.
MegaZarak
Along those lines we're now on a 3rd line of toys with no real cartoon or marketing force behind it. People can point at the Go90 shows but those are really poor representation of the play styles for the toys. Where was the head/titan master gimmick? Where are the actual prime masters?
That said, my 6 year old son loves the Voltron show on Netflix, has collected all the lions and is now asking for the villians and other characters. Seeing them in store only fuels his needs.
