Super 7, makers of various vinyl toys including the popular ReAction figure lines, has an exciting tease on their Twitter account. Included with the hashtags #sdcc2018 and #super7 is a close up image of what appears to be Optimus Prime’s torso ,exposing his matrix. Pasted across the image and translated from katakana are the words “Optimus Prime”. Super 7 revealed several Transformers products back at Toyfair in February. This “Visible Tech” appears to possibly an x-ray version of Optimus. Could we be expecting an exclusive or possibly more from Super 7 regarding the Transformers? Looks like it! SDCC will be coming up the week of July 19th-22nd in San Diego, Ca.

Thanks for the heads up on this. I didn't even notice my Super 7 email notification from last night. Ended up ordering it, but was hoping the apparel would end up on the site as well.

s7 never said if these will be for sale after the convention? Is there any confirmation from them? Seems like they are avoiding the question. Was there a confirmation somewhere? Also is this the beginning of these things or did I miss some other=s from the older conventions? I'm thinking about starting to collect these things. I don't want to pay scalper prices if they will release these down the road. So confused now.

Is this news? ToyArk already posted it on their NYCC 2018 He-man Coverage (not specifically Transformers).

Super7 on Instagram: “We’re not crying… You’re crying… The Super7 x @transformersofficial Exclusive at @newyorkcomiccon! The Dead Optimus Prime 12” Figure is…”

Not necessarily, but I will say it's preferred. It's one of the reasons why I go for Marvel Legends, et al. over POP!s (that, and likenesses).
However, that's the good thing about collecting, there's many different companies producing stuff for every type of collector. I just think it's a shame that Super7 uses the licenses the way they do, because I would love to see them do for, say, M.U.S.C.L.E. what they're doing with Masters of the Universe.

Ohhh okay. Thank you for the explanation.

So the only way you can enjoy a collectible is if it’s articulated?

Love Mazinger and Great Mazinger. Of course! Lol..
Yes, that metal force is expensive, but there's a KO that was like 40.00 back in the day. Had a chest that could pop off. Had a matrix that sucked, and was cheap. But still a cool item. I want to find that again.

There's no way to really tell now unless you have them still, no worries. Do you still like Mazinger Z &/or Great Mazinger, say in the likes of Soul of Chogokin or something more worthy of your action figure style? (Or the cartoon)
I actually just bought the SOC Mazinger DC (anime likeness molding?)
Additionally, and more on the point of this thread, the Optimus Prime pictured is the Metalforce Optimus Prime by Takara from 2002 IIRC, & has been #1 on my to get list for 15 years!
Costs around $150.00 – ish on average, & I am not sure I wanna spend that much. Thanks for reminding me bro lol
