This weekend seems to be all about Transformers: Cyberverse. From Trading Cards to Concept Art to McDonald’s Happy Meal toys, the Evergreen concept designs are in the spotlight.
Thanks to 2005 Boards member Nevermore, we are now treated with brand new In-Package stock images of Transformers: Cyberverse 1-Step Changers. With it also comes our first look at the Cyberverse renditions of Autobot Blurr and Decepticon Soundwave, the latter which takes heavy design cues from the aforementioned Evergreen concepts.
Nevermore also took time to give us a direct comparison between the packaging of Cyberverse 1-Steps and Robots In Disguise 1-Steps. Thanks to the comparisons we learn that even though the designs are new, the toys themselves are repaints of each counterpart from RID.
You can checkout the new images, after the jump.

IDW Blurr…
FanimusMaximus
That's a cool ass looking Soundwave right there.
Esquilax79
I like Cyberverse Soundwave a lot better. Come on minions….
Cykill 1
I like the package designs. That\'s about it so far.
Bass X0
Not even that going by the image.
transform75
yes, it is a repaint , maybe a remold for the head
weevil
the mold is still the same mold as RID?
Spontificus
Soundwave's new head seems very Generation-2-Decepticon-Insignia-ish to me, especially the angles and size of his forehead crest. Which is pretty cool, since a lot of Soundwave heads take inspiration from the Gen 1 Con insignia (or vice versa in the case of the original toy).

Looking at the styles of RID15 Soundwave and Cyberverse Soundwave I now can't help but wonder if RID15 Soundwave was a foreshadowing of where they're taking the franchise at? I mean both he and Starscream got more G1 designs in that series and the next series will be more G1.

So, who wants to bet that Rumored Combiner Force Bruticus gets released in this line?
NominusDP
It's not exactly a total repack , as Soundwave has a lighter blue , painted face to simulate a mouthplate and the scannable sticker from RID15 is replaced with a proper faction symbol. His arms may be different but I'm not sure , and Bumblebee is basically the same except for black stripes on his chest , not sure if Blurr is any different. But I think a new mold for Bee , hell just a new head would be lot better
Alpha Minor 128
No it is not. But this is first time to my knowledge that they have done it since that time period.

"Laziest thing"
Repackaging older product is not new
Dinobot Nuva
Calling it now, the pretooled alternate face-plated head for RID Warrior Soundwave will make its official debut on a redeco of the Warrior Soundwave mold in the Cyberverse line.
Alpha Minor 128
The point is this is the laziest thing since the 500 Bumblebee reprints between the first and third movie.
transform75
Could be paint apps, the shape of helmet is identical.
NominusDP
Just a repackage?
Ahem
Look at his face , looks like a mouthplate to me tbh or I'm just blind
NominusDP
If you look really closely on Soundwave's stock photo on the bottom of the packaging , you can see he has a mouthplate
NominusDP
Yeah
Kinda hoping Hot Rod appears so Bumblebee can have a rival in the Autobot ranks , a bit of competition between the two "eventual leader" characters
DOTM Bumblebee
Just remember, if you don't like the upcoming Scout, Ultra, and Ultimate figures, it could always be worse.
