Lmao at the 2007 stock render pose, you're alright, man.

It's strange to say, but as time goes on, I've grown to hate ROTB Optimus but love his design. It's not exactly "better" than BBM Prime, but it's one I still like a lot. I'll probably use him as a "proper" Evasion Prime. Well, at least once I get the DLX.View attachment 30359123 View attachment 30359124 View attachment 30359125 View attachment 30359126 View attachment 30359128View attachment 30359155 View attachment 30359156

Look what I got! I actually have the Baiwei Jetwing Optimus Prime, but I really wanted the SS-44 and kicked myself when I didn't buy it at Target while I had multiple chances. I'm excited to crack this one open to display it in that pretty truck mode with the trailer attached.

Given the current Bayverse drought in SS that apparently isn't ending until sometime next year, I decided to spend this year looking back. Gonna go through the movies in order revisiting all the media tie ins, rereading the books, playing the games I haven't played, etc. and add some odds and ends to the collection. First couple things I got are the Ghosts of Yesterday novel and the Best Buy DVD set with these exclusive Optimus and Cliffjumper Robot Heroes. Always wanted these guys and I think I'm gonna try and complete my movie Robot Heroes collection this year.

Optimus has a heavy black wash to the point some parts look panel lined. Which really takes you back, not something we're likely to see out of Hasbro again.
Cliffjumper is red Bumblebee so there's not much to say. The red is really nice and vibrant though like the other 07 Cliffs were. It's a crime Hasbro hasn't done him in Studio Series yet. So simple.

Would the SS RotB Bumblebee mold's engineering lend itself well for new figures of the Bay movie BB designs, do you guys think?

The thing is, they did, just with the wrong version. Ss 01 was a direct downscale and reskin of the tlk deluxe

TLK Bee is my fav. I think it has the best transformation, and I wish the SS had taken more from it, particularly the hood and roof, which it took from the MPM. I feel like it cleans up the best overall.
