Via friend site and sponsor Robotkingdom, we had previously reported a very unexpected item listed: A Walmart Exclusive G1 Hot-Rod Reissue.
For those fans interested on this reissue, we finally have a proper listing on Walmart website (still not in stock, no price) and proper and clear stock images. G1 Hot Rod is coming once again to the shelves. While a reissue, we can see 1some differences in the packaging, as well as updated stickers, more orange and sharper colors.
No release date available at the moment, but we are sure it is just a matter of time. You can check out the mirrored images after the jump and then sound off at the 2005 Boards!

Same here.

found them on ebeB but I want them in the wild.

I haven't seen any either.

Same here. Good thing too.. Bumblebee had a lot of imperfections.

It was definitely cool seeing this. It is in an odd place too. It was in the center isle by electronics. I initially went to the toy isle and found two Bumblebee's hanging out on a shelf with some random toys. Then my brother scouted around the store while I was waiting on a pickup line for my $12.97 rollback Hot Rod and he found this display.
Funny thing about Hot Rod. My pickup Hot Rod was in the packaging backward. I went to the shelf (which had 30-40 of them) and they were also ALL backward…except one. The one the right way around was factory taped…not a return or something. So, I swapped my pickup out for it. I plan on keeping it sealed (I have another Hot Rod) and wanted it displayed correctly. But what a strange thing…

I would love to see a display like that…awe memories ☺️

Lucky bastard! I haven't seen any in ND.

Tons of minibots spotted today at a Walmart in NJ. So many in fact that my brother and I were able to dig through and pick out the most mintiest packages
Sixwing
I'll think about, I suppose, but I already pack a lunch. Also, where are the Minibots?
myrrh
…i've only seen devastator, starscream, and hot rod in the wild, and devastator disappeared surprisingly fast…
Venixion
When are we gonna see the minibots like Bumblebee and Outback? Still no Constructicon team. That spot on the shelf is always empty.
Flash1087
AFAIK nobody has actually found the Minibots in America, but Wal-Mart has also recently carried reissues of G1 Starscream and G1 Devastator.

Am just wondering, since Walmart has display all these Hot Rod for sale, do they also display those Transformers G1 Legion Minibots or only available pre order through Robotkindom?
WishfulThinking
Skip a lunch. It's worth it.
Sixwing
You have a point there, but I'm on a budget.
omagaprime
Great now I might have to buy another one.
WishfulThinking
He's a little overpriced but not by much. $25 is probably the better number after accounting for inflation. But seriously, what's an extra $5?

I picked a Hot Rod up a couple of weeks back and found a couple of differences from previous iterations. (I originally also posted these in the general Wal*Mart reissue thread and figured here would be good too)
The Autobot symbol on his chest is larger than previous versions, and looks ever so slightly different. Maybe it's the movie version of the symbol? I can't really tell.
The stickers are a lot more reflective, and the colors on them are not as vibrant.
The mold itself is the TFC 13 mold, meaning it has the TM-sized fist holes and mount on the back of the head. The guns are the same ones that were included in TFC 13 (two-tiered posts). So while any previous version of Hot Rod can hold the Wal*Mart guns, this reissue can only hold its own and TFC 13's (and Firebolt).

That's partly true, I guess, but he's costs too much for my budget.
Chillyn
I got him and $30 isn't too bad. It's decent quality and worth the trip down memory lane.
