This is the worst shit ever! Freaking beast within was better then this.

yeah, the transformation if ever would be fiddly. As far as I can tell, the arms form the back legs, and the robot legs from the front legs, the spear is the tail, and the actual head moves to the robot's crotch area and combines with the left hand to form the lion head.
Ah yeah, zoids! That was a big surprise. I had a few kits as a kid, sadly none survived the rigors of play. But it was Zoids that helped me discover how fun model kits were.

I didn’t put any money down, since I might cancel if there’s a mid or final quarter season upgrade for Strelizia or just a giant space Franxx like Arc/Chou Ginga/Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, even if that last bit may be a long shot.
I also don’t think I’ll be into the Good Smile Company model kit enough to cancel, but I am curious all the same to see how that turns out.
And, as much as I would like it to transform, @Kotori Sonoda, I remember how fiddly some of Studio Half Eye’s stuff can be and that gives me pause. That, and I’m just willing to compromise for a mecha kitty.
Then again, even if Strelizia Stampede doesn’t come to pass, there’ll be more robot cats later this year when TakaTo brings back Zoids!

I'm also thinking of preordering that, but with Studio series and the already existing POs I have on a few anime figures, there's not much budget for another PO.
Hell it could be partsforming or causing the robot itself to have some inaccuracies, but the transformers fan in me wants a transforming version

Unlike with this actual travesty that we maybe should be discussing, @The Mad Demobot, I didn’t suffer any major saltiness with Darling in the Franxx since I watched the whole show, so far, in two nights before Ep.15.
Moreso, I would recommend Darling before Star Driver and Captain Earth, which both feature the same mecha designs but not quite as much story to back it up. I thought I’d skip Darling and wait for Gridman—thinking DarliFra would just be juvenile, and only tuned in as the salt flowed a couple weeks ago after ep. 14. Catching up with it, I was rewarded with something that was a lot more measured and caring than I expected.
So, at most basic, be prepared to be patient if you’re going to watch something as it airs.
And, @Kotori Sonoda, I preordered the Robot Spirits Side Franxx Strelizia on AmiAmi, but I’d still like a transforming one or just a Robot Spirits of Stampede Mode. Furthermore, I would expect Trigger to marinate in its own sauce a bit more, and so we might see a Chou Ginga Strelizia to pray to the Bandai Kami about.

This is fine. Although the giant hole in a still living Devastator did bother me.
Necromaster
Wait, Devastator survived having a hole blown through his chest but Computron died from less?
What?
Fenrys
nope, it takes from both the cartoon and the comics, therefore it cant actually be a continuation of either exclusively.
items it takes from the cartoon:
starscreams death at the hands of galvatron
teletran 1 (in the comics the ark computer was auntie)
items it takes from comics:
the arks name (i dont think it was ever named in the cartoon but i could have that backwards)
primus
concepts from g2 comics that never actually made it into the show:
the vok being an evolution of the swarm
BB Shockwave
Would have been funny if he just had his head twisted 180 degrees, looked up at Overlord and said "Umm, you DO know I do this all the time when I transform back to Motormaster? Plus I hide this head in my backpack too."
I thought Ben Yee said BW follows the Marvel G2 universe…
Of course! 'cause that's how combiners work…
…. NOT.
Fenrys
its like beast wars in that it takes from multiple versions of g1 but doesnt specifically follow any of them
BB Shockwave
Just watched it during breakfast today, and wow… This underwhelmed even my expectations. Just some points.
-Victorion is truly useless isn't she? Maybe stop shouting battle cries when you are trying for a surprise attack.
-So just what is the logic behind Windblade's sword? Last season she could cut Menasor in half effortlessly, but it just bounces off Volcanicus' armpits?
-LOL on the mouth of Volcanicus actually opening. Looks really silly. And guess this is easy time for Greg Berger (he voices Grimmy again right?) he just has to growl.
-WTF happened? The evil matrix thingie powers the stupidly named Rodimus Cron, but what turned his puny little blaster into a disintegrator beam from the Death Star that one-shot kills Combiners???
-3 series, and the show creators still did not even bother to check TFWiki to understand how Combiners work. This'd just kill or injure the torso, the limbs would disengage and transform. Oh yeah, they lack the budget for that.
-I laughed my ass off when Computron died and a glowing spark rose out of his body to… go up to Robot Heaven? What the literal hell??? I don't recall this happening to Optimus or Mistress of Flame when they died. Also, combiners don't have 1 combined spark, people. Who are the writers of this thing, even? Are they remaining anonymous on purpose?
-Okay I loved seeing Overlord kicking Menasor in the crotch repeatedly. They wasted a golden opportunity in not having him curl up and complain about robots not having balls (save for Michael Bay's Devastator, of course). Can someone make a loop-GIF of that?
-Another prime example of these writers not understanding Cybertronian physiology. Overlord kills Menasor by… breaking his neck??? Sorry, what does that do? Many TFs rotate their heads 180 degreees when transforming, ask Energon Ironhide. Plus we have seen TFs survive as disemobodied heads, firstly, second it's not like a combiner's head has the combined brain modules of the members… oh why do I even bother.
-I found the conversation between Megatronus and texan Overlord (bad) comedy gold.
Overlord: "But wait for a dog-darn minute, what's stoppin' ya from betraying me after this is done?"
Megatronus: "I'm an agent of chaos, would I lie to you?"
Overlord: "Well that seems legit, never mind then."
-I should have guessed they have no budget to show individual Predacons. Not that it'd matter, they failed to show personalities with any of the Dinobots already.
-Predaking fires flamethrowers from those shoulder cannons. Just… think about it a little. He shoots giant cones of flame right next to his head.
-Guess they want to pretend this takes place in the G1 cartoon continuity then, with the Unicron head orbiting? And the Dark Matrix thingamabob is from him?
jamarmiller
my thoughts exactly, thought that too on the last one as well. Its amazing how much story there was in the movie and then you realize how little here.
Still, ill take this over anything else in the last few years.
RKillian
I don't have so much of a problem with the animation or voice work. However, when you step back and realize that 10 episodes of this runs about 100 minutes, or 16 minutes longer than TFTM, and so little actually happens, it's crazy that anybody would attempt to mount a defense of it. There's clearly a joke at Victorion's expense (concocting…) but the timing and execution is so bad that it's hard to tell what it is.
Spyne98
Three cheers for some random ball kicking!
DecepticusPrime
How the hell does getting its neck snapped actually kill menasor? This was terrible.
Fenrys
Maybe their sparks merge when combined
Omegax80
Eh… They probably didn't even think about that concept when producing. I wouldn't read into it much. They've effectively killed off 16 transformers, but they've been treating the combiners as single entities.
When watching it, I thought, damn, they're killing each individual bot on Devastator, considering each shot vaporized a limb out of existence.
Rumble02
So why did the combiners who went audio only have one spark? Should they not have had 5 to six of em going up into poofy land?
Omegax80
I want to see the Muscle Buster.
Neko-bot77
I just figured it out; Predaking is angry because his disco ball broke and he wants to use the enigma as a replacement!
…..Hey, it's a better plot than what we're getting……
