Thanks to the IDW Facebook Fan Page we can share the full preview of Lost Light #17, for your viewing pleasure.
This 5-page preview continues the adventure of Rodimus and his crew on the Afterspark. We are going directly into the climax of this great story. IDW shared a brief description of this issue:
“LETTING GO! After years of tragedy and misadventure, Rodimus and Co. are finally happy—eager to see out their days on a peaceful world where contentment is inevitable and good things keep happening, whether they want them to or not. Is there a downside? No… Oh, alright then, yes. And it’s a big one!”
Don’t forget to grab your copy at your local comic shop this Wednesday! You can check out the mirrored images of the preview after the jump, then you can join to the ongoing discussion at the 2005 Boards!

And that someone is most definitively not you.

I'm sorry but again you seem incapable or unwilling to actually read what people write. let me try one last time, I just want you to think, thinking is just a funny way of changing your mind and I think we almost have something here.
I love how these books fold back on themselves, it gets me to read them again. Looking back at issue one going "Oh yeah that's what that meant" or finding a clue I had missed before.
I want to know why Ratchet was "Dying" a few issues ago. I want to know about the projections trying to get people to walk to the Matrix, the answer to RUNGS GOD DAMN ALT MODE!! and I even want to know why Anode and Lug seem so unimpressed with the idea of being dead, they didn't seem to care, walk in the park, any other day . . . .why?
And again I do not *Dislike* Anode, she's a bit abrasive and hasn't found her place among the misfits, hell she may end up working well with the Scavangers and any chance I get to see more of them I'm all for. It took me a few issues to like Swerve, but I cant think of anyone else tending bar. It took me an arc to like Autobot Megs but now I really miss him, it took seconds to place Getaway on a level of loathing reserved for one Shou Tucker. I'm not saying Anode will never end up as one of my most beloved characters but I'm at least giving her some time to warm up.
On the other hand since I haven't praised her as the second coming you will likely ignore everything I just said.

I liked the Guiding Hand, how their story parallels the 13, I liked Nautica having the willpower to resist the illusions and I liked Rodimus trying to cheat in a debate with his (supposed gods) all in all one of the better Lost Light issues, it seems that it is finally getting its stride back after several underwhelming story arcs (I still love the Scorponok reveal). Did that satisfy you?

I'm pretty sure he posted an extremely nuanced and correct interpretation of why your opinion was dumb immediately after saying it was dumb (it was) which was an attempt at continuing the conversation.

Somebody has to be right about things around here.
GrimLocke
I’m not gunna actually tabulate it, but I think there’s a mostly even split between Anode Fans and agnostics and then those fanatically opposed to Anode for any of a host of reasons.

Okay, why do you bother replying to this thread if you're going to disagree with 90% of the posts in the first place? Because clearly you're not going to even begin to try and have a conversation with others when all you're going to do is shut others down and proclaim your side as the right side.

I've seen it done on these forums, so not impossible – and regardless of such, I know that's the general expectation of the board. =) That being said, I've clarified what I meant so I don't know what else can be said on this sidebar.

Wonder if the mods can merge this with the discussion in the comic thread because this is good stuff. (Never understood why the previews ended up in news but the comic discussion ends up in comic).
If you know that Nautica's given away her feelings for Skids, it's almost like having a loved one with Alzheimer's…they vaguely know you're connected to them, but they can't remember why and they can't appreciate why the other party has such strong feelings. After two issues full of people getting their "hearts' desire", we see what Nautica's desire was…and she can no longer appreciate that anymore. It's tragic and sad. And inadvertently it's because of that tragedy that the team will be saved.
As a side note, it's probably illuminating that Rodimus and Ratchet never got targeted with a "heart's desire" in the way the rest of the team did. Ratchet and Nautica are effectively "seeing through" the illusions being presented because – for differing reasons – they are looking at the situation with emotional detachment.
Meanwhile, Rodimus' "heart's desire" is something that the simulation can't provide for him – he wants to be free of the simulation. =)

A good honorable sentiment but impossible to actually work in practice.
Hooper_X
or it was character building and revelations about the deepest desires of multiple characters.
if you wanted explosions and world-building, Optimus Prime #17-18 is right over there.
that is the worst opinion i've seen in a thread full of terrible opinions. the Skids sequence was the single most fucked-up tragic part of the entire issue – Skids was such a deep part of her life that when the "Afterspark" showed everyone their deepest desires (Cyclonus wants things to be good with Tailgate, Brainstorm wants Quark to love him, Nightbeat wants to solve the biggest mystery of all) – Nautica gave away the part of her that must have meant so much to try and get him back… and then she failed, and can't even properly appreciate the depths of her failure (which is probably a blessing in disguise, both in that she can't truly grieve his loss and also it allowed her to bypass that trap).
That's a fantastic and compelling story!

I liked the part where the thing keeping people in thrall is their own happiness. Happiness: not even once!

It's more of one poster going " you just hate her because she's trans.". Despite the fact that some of us, including me, disliked her even before the reveal. Also, this issue was more padding and reiterating things we've heard a dozen times before. Getaway's an asshole, the lost light is a "family", blah blah. Also, Nautica is a bitch.
Hooper_X
Says you. I don't find Anode/Lug bland, I find them immensely entertaining.
But that's all I see in the last couple pages of this thread – complaining about Anode.
If you actually liked the issue, kindly inform me what you DID like about it, and maybe we can talk about that instead of more "buh huh huh anode is forced sjw bullshit" claptrap.
Thundermania
Wait, your ramblings had a point?
justiceg
Of course not. I mean holding and stating opinions without personally attacking people or implying some sort of personal deficiency within those who hold a differing opinion.
Rotary
Thank you for your inane and invalid flailing at people who hold different opinions. We read the issue, and we're not shit-talking the issue itself at all, because it's perfectly fine and nor are we telling you how to enjoy TF material, so stop projecting. I know reading is difficult and requires such tiring things as attention to detail, lack of bias, and general respect for others, but try to at least get through it properly next time you want to sound clever.
This is Transformers material we're talking about, so not really.

Reproduction – Transformers Wiki, & I suppose it’s not just Caminus but all the colonies that introduced more couples of apparently opposing genders, and just more femmeformers in general, @Thundermania

By getting along, you mean all of us having the same views and opinions, agreeing with everything everyone else said.
