No April Fools for you today, just a sharp new gallery! We’re rounding out our look at the first two waves of Prime Masters with a photoshoot of Power of the Primes Landmine with Alpha Trion.
Landmine as standard for the Prime Masters looks very sharp, with the inner robot face filling the space of the helmet like his fellow Autobot Prime Masters Metalhawk and Cloudburst. He’s a Metalhawk remold, but carried out well enough to not be immediately obvious. The inner robot, Alpha Trion, looks nothing like the Autobot scholar, but looks like the inner robot of Landmine, so we’ve got to give him points there.
Overall, Landmine pulls off the look of the original Autobot pretender armor well and is a sharp looking toy, though he’s no match for the Decepticons in the same line. Check out his gallery and enjoy.

I figured as Alpha Trion’s power is “infinite knowledge”, that makes the Landmine gun a knowledge blaster, and it makes sense to put it in the hands of a mechanic like Nautica. Okay, I also wanted an excuse to photograph this toy.
Power of the Primes Cloudburst, Landmine, and Metalhawk
These three look great together. I just hope Metalhawk has not taken the place of Waverider / Diver.
Power of the Primes Landmine with Generation 1 Landmine
Landmine in PotP might be a remold of Metalhawk, but it is well-chosen – he looks great next to his G1 counterpart.

The Pretenders are my main draw for this line, so naturally I am looking forward to Landmine. He will be displayed next to G1 Landmine of course!

I can't unsee Cloudburst wearing a purpleish necktie.

I was thinking the same, hell a long time ago I wanted to make rewrite of the Prime Wars Trilogy stuff by Machinima

will buy.

Alpha Trion being a remold of Vector Prime makes sense. Just wish they switched colors.

My take on it is that after the battle with overlord, Optimus Sentinel and Alpha Trion fly off to defeat the scattered decepticon forces in the galaxy. However, their ship gets sucked into a worm hole. Optimus in his “God Ginrai” form, gets sucked out of the ship, stripped of his powers, and reverts to Orion pax. He lands on a planet not knowing who he is and pretty much goes on a journey meeting up with other scattered auto bots along the way like quick switch, Elita One and the grimlock, who his been on a mission trying to find the other dinobot. Rodimus Prime is the new leader and is is taking care of the main story, while Orion pax is on this side journey slowly gaining his memory back and eventually finding his reformatted trailer that helps him transform into Optimus again.

The fun part of collecting this line are the Prime Masters. I can’t wait till they are all in my grasp.
If this is the last of the trilogy, how does it work? Is it a prequel considering Optimus Prime evolution? How does Alpha Trion go from syncing with Sovereign to Prime Master? Any links to a story line would be helpful.

Very sharp looking. Shame we're not getting Waverider to round out the Masterforce set.
Black Convoy
Nice homeage as usual. I may pick all of then once they get to my local retail (well, if that miracle happens first)

my reaction to seeing this
Sol Fury
This guy looks nothing like Alpha Trion nor does the gun fit in the hands of last year's Alpha Trion. Still, he's an inoffensive little toy and looks great as a part of the wider PotP Autobot Pretenders lineup.
