Thannks to Weibo user Notrab, we can share some great new in-hand images of Transformers Studio Series Voyager Class Megatron.
This new voyager molds is based on Revenge Of The Fallen Megatron. While being a Voyager mold, this figure sure looks more proportioned and movie accurate than the original Voyager and Leader class toys from 2009. The new images show Megatron correctly transformed in both modes, revealing some details like the fact that the feet can split in two, and the great poseability of this new mold.
You can check out the mirrored images after the jump, and then share with us if this figure please your optics at the 2005 Boards!

Yea I see on all the CG models that it’s there, the thing is, from the knee down area, front and back is much bulkier. It looks less like a backwards kneecap and more like an upper calf. On the figure it just looks like it needs to spin around, from the lack of enough knees dropping down in the front. But those feet…

That cowl in the back of his leg is supposed to be there. Problem is, the one on the front side is undersized and unpainted.

There has GOT to be a better way to arrange the inside of the feet….that plus it looking like his knee cap is on the back of the leg is reaaaaly bothering me. And I’m totally digging it otherwise.
Autobot Burnout
Point, forgot about the whole scale thing actually being a consideration this time.
I would laugh my ass off if we had that "Unite for the Universe" Jetfire combiner Prime be canceled…only to come back with a vengance a solid decade later.

Doesn't budget out anymore, and doesn't fit with the line's intended scale goals.
Plus again, there's still that niggling suspicion of a potential Jetfire compatibility gimmick.

I really think that Hasbro is doing well with the Voyager and Leaders scales of this line. Compare the Megatron there to any of the Bandai Pacific Rim Uprising toys that are the same price. (IIRC, those are the only other mass produced/mass retail adult robot toys on US shelves at the moment.) Megatron not only has even more mold detailing, but it actually makes better use of paint applications. And it still transforms.
We get spoiled by 3P offerings, but comparing mass retail to mass retail and these Voyagers are just amazing figures compared to the other guys.
If Hasbro puts this much TLC in the War For Cybertron trilogy, I think we're going to be very happy.
Autobot Burnout
Wow. Megatron looks so good with Prime that my opinion on that Prime figure has risen dramatically. I still think the compromised window chest looks really dumb, but it's certainly much cleaner in other areas.
Why they didn't just reuse the HFTD Optimus Voyager is a mystery though, since that one is pretty much the perfect version of Prime. Guns, swords, and the only version to come with the Movie Matrix.

the gold looks great

The calves look a lot better with them collapsed all the way. OS this with maybe an additional part set for the calves, a silver paint job and you pretty much have an MP-ish ROTF Megatron.

Yep, these work well together….

For those wondering from where the smaller turrets come from, I just noticed that they came from the first cgi render of the tank mode.
Probably an easter egg to add some playbility in tank mode.

It IS possible!
Note: I had previously looked at your picture wrong and said it was not possible. It IS possible.

That game was great.

Okay, that seals it.
Best version of ROTF Megatron, followed by the Voyager from 2009.
Ra88
Judging from the transformation, and the space for it, yeah definitely.

I like how ROTF Megatron looks, this toy looks amazing and he has his Blaster Claw Arm, Jetpack and his Tank Mode looks good too. Just wish you could fold his front tank trends and back trends to make him look like his ROTF video game self where you can activate his Fusion Cannon in Tank Mode.

Netkid's right. There's a slight armor flare on the sides of the tread pieces that are supposed to represent those armour bits. They're just a lot smaller than on the movie model, and they're black rather than the silver/grey they're supposed to be, so they blend into the treads in most shots. You can see it a bit more clearly on the second picture on the front page.
So they're there, they're just way smaller than they should be, so they're not fully accurate and the shape of the leg looks off as a result.

He'll be fun to paint. Bumblebee was a blast as well. (OS KO please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please!)
Chronix
I dunno what you're seeing, but there's definitely nothing there.

I'll buy Grimlock but I will also buy an os version too for the sake of scale. He should have been ultra class. Those were the days.
