Thanks to our 2005 Boards member Nevermore, we have some new stock photos of Transformers Studio Series Deluxe Class Wave 2.

The new images surfaced via Amazon.us and we have very clear shots of of Jazz and Lockdown in packaging and both modes. Right now, they are just listed with no price or release date yet. We are sure movie collectors will be pleased to see the great detail and finishing of these new molds. They are a very nice update from the original Deluxe toys of both characters.

Here's another image, if it helps.View attachment 27934213sooooo stoked for these guys. If it's true how Wave 1 BB will be repacked in wave 2, I'll be a little disappointed. Is Wave two only having 4 new molds? There was a rumored 3rd leader, but….

Oooohhh, that picture does make him look awesome!

Actually, i think there is only 2 new deluxe figures in wave 2. Plus 2 new Voyagers, and Leader Grimlock in USA I believe is wave 2 (in Japan he's released in April)

Yes that is true, thanks bud. I guess it all boils down to pictures can really alter appearance of height. Many ppl think Studio Series Megatron is extremely taller then Studio Series Optimus Prime due to that one picture next to Blackout (or was it Grimlock?). But in reality I'm willing to bet he's not as taller as people think bc Optimus is standing a 1 inch behind the other 2. And it all depends on angle, which one is closer, and many other properties. I know Megatron's taller but I don't think its as tall as ppl think..I seen the Toyfair pics and Lockdown is clearly taller but in the packaging it definitely can show approximately how much taller without all the photo tricks. ;)

I always said that I'd like a smaller Deluxe Jazz, but I didn't quite mean THIS small… £22.00 for that is taking the piss a bit.

Dismaying also to see how the simplified engineering of Generations is becoming more and more prevalent in the movie line. Handling some ROTF figures yesterday reminded me just how much things have changed, and to be honest I'd be happy to pay more for larger/more complicated figures… not further shrunken ones.

If that's the case, then I hope he's not a freakin' eggshell like PotP Jazz is. What a mess.

It'd probably only be the forward quarter panels, but looking at pics it seems those make up the shoulders and socket joint, so it might have been changed to avoid breakage.

Also, I noticed quite tantalizingly, Lockdown's CGI stock photos show him with clear headlights. And the alt mode is completely painted, so I wonder if there's actually clear plastic under there?

If that's the case, then I hope he's not a freakin' eggshell like PotP Jazz is. What a mess.

You're confused. AOE Lockdown, the original Deluxe from 2014, shared a transformation scheme with DOTM Roadbuster, and people thought they were retools briefly. But they're not, and World Prime didn't say they were. He just referred to the terrible choice of TF scheme copied form RB.

DOTM Top Spin actually copied TFA Lockdown's transformation scheme, because TFA Lockdown had his legs run the length of the car and his arms fold up into the back.

Yes I don't know how none of us saw it before since it's so obvious.

I wonder if he retains the Titan Master gimmick? Except instead of a little robot, his head turns into a bisected version of itself. (T_T)

I get the feeling this Lockdown will be retooled with a new masked head and gun that can make his gunface eventually. I highly doubt this Lockdown as is, will be the last we see of it.

I'm willing to bet that he'll get retooled in TFA colors with the probable masked head, gunface rifle, and maybe even the spark extractor. The green stripes would compliment the visor pretty well and break up the sculpt nicely. Then we could have two real nice Lockdowns we could even mix accessories with.

Shame it'll probably be a Wallgreens exclusive.

I especially like the shape of the legs/feet afforded by this transformation. I can't wait until somebody gets it in hand and transforms and poses it properly.

I know this too, but I'm going to keep saying AOE Lockdown is a remold of DOTM topspin, just so RodimusSupreme can freak out again
