Via TF-Factory on Weibo, we’ve got some images to share of the packaging for some future Power of the Primes releases. These images show the front and back of the box of Leader class Optimal Optimus aka Optimus Primal, who can store his matrix in the cockpit on his chest in a homage to the Beast Wars episode Optimal Situation.
There is also a look at the artwork for Titan class Predaking, which references the style of a poster by Dreamwave from the early 2000s, the cardback for Novastar (how will the daring infiltration and rescue specialist wield the Power of the Primes), and carded images of Prime Masters Wave 3 (Octopunch with Solus Prime, Bomb Burst with Megatronus, and Bludgeon with Quintus Prime).
Check out all of the images of these figures attached to this post.

Imo the hasbro version will be released sooner than August with a 99.7% probability. The POTP Machninima series drops this May, sometime around then would be the best time to start dropping wave 3, now I'm not saying it'll drop after May in the USA for sure but the Hasbro will very likely drop late May or after but before August, maybe in Thailand Taiwan, Vietnam or near there etc
kaijuguy19
I'm expecting Primal on Hasbro's end will be released around late May/early June.

Hmm, kind of far away- but if it's anything like previous generations line releases, the hasbro version probably will come out first.
Lazerwave
Hoping the Hasbro one gets released soon.

So far as I've read it's a Cybertronian ship that the Optimal Gorilla Mode can ride on etc

What?! Am I looking at this right? The smaller robot turns into a space surf board?

No offense was intended, I just didn't go back any pages to see what lead up to your post and seemed like a good place to add my $0.02
I'm still holding my breath until the official pre-orders for wave 3 & wave 4 go live for what is/ is not happening…. what a pain POTP is @_@

I don't think there was anything in my post to suggest I was equating, or conflating, the two things, which makes me wonder why you needed to point that out while quoting my post? I linked to the interview as @Gryph didn't seem to be aware of the info around wave 4.
Sure. We might. That said, the 'September' wave of Titans Return had a single 'new' figure (Slugslinger) across all the price points and Novastar was the only wave four figure shown in those leaks from last summer. I think both things, especially when considered together, are significant.
Personally, I think we're more likely to see the 'missing' Prime Masters come out in something similar to the Wallgreens Exclusive Clones two pack. Either that or we'll see them come out with the rumoured exclusives like Wreck-Gar, Repugnus, and Counterpunch, much as we're seeing a Megatronus Prime Master (sans Decoy Suit) coming out with the Blast-Off exclusive.

The fact that we've seen neither hide nor hair of any Wave 4 Prime Masters (they weren't in the PotP leak that seemed to show everything releasing in 2018, and they weren't shown/mentioned at Toyfair) makes me doubtful. I think it's possible the remaining few will be released as a boxset as some kind of exclusive, but I doubt we'll see them as a standard retail wave.
Neko-bot77
There's a difference between "some price points won't make it to wave 4" and "Novastar is the ONLY wave 4 unique toy". I still think we may see a 4th wave of Prime Masters as a minimum (in addition to Novastar)

If you haven't already, I'd give the interview on youtube a listen. They're pretty clear about PotP ending with wave 4 and they do make reference to some PotP price points not even making it to wave 4.

Waves are on a per-pricepoint basis. While it usually happens that wave refreshes are across the line in order to keep the whole product line fresh, there's no actual internal rule or anything that says that's how it always has to be. As the above posters state, there's already been some de-sychronization in recent years.

All evidence indicates that only Deluxes will be getting a 4th wave in PotP.
Gryph
The only thing I remember him stating was that it was four waves. Also, the leaders aren't the only size class to not get a final wave. Titans Return had one less wave of Legends, Titan Masters, and Voyagers. So that's not really much of an indication of what's going to happen with PotP.
SoundwaveSuperior
John Warden stated as much in an interview. Combiner Wars and Titans Return both had one fewer Wave of Leaders than Deluxes, so it's to be expected.
