Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim has shared a video on Facebook promoting a Beast Wars skit for an upcoming episode of Robot Chicken. The best part? It sounds like David Kaye is reprising his role not only as Beast Wars Megatron, but also Beast Wars Scorponok as well! As usual with Robot Chicken, it should be hilarious. The episode airs Sunday February 25th at 11:30 PM EST on Adult Swim/Cartoon Network
VERY impressive character work. New episode at 11:30pm EST on Sunday

The "keep politics out of all media even though all art is political" weirdos aren't exactly known for their logical thought patterns. Bonus points if they rant about it while using a Star Trek character as an avatar.
I mean look at the guy saying "polar bears can't swim" was used as a reason melting ice would kill them. That was never used as a reason. The reason the melting ice is a danger to polar bears is because their swimming range is limited in the same way any living creature's is, due to us not having infinite energy reserves. Polar bears don't die in that scenario because they can't swim, they die because they drown after running out of energy due to the distance between ice floes being so wide. But people love to feel like they "figured out" some kind of hoax being perpetrated by rich people or something so now polar bears and pandas can get fucked? I don't even know what their endgame is. They should just buy toy robots and not embarrass themselves by opening their mouths on other subjects.

Yes, along with that nova prime shirt where he gives a thumbs up and says “eugenics are cool”

Yeah that was impressive

Finally! That was great. It was nice hearing Kaye's real Megaton voice and not what he's been doing in the Christmas videos.

Haven't seen Robot Chicken in eons. Glad to see BW get some attention. Always did like the idea of a panda version of the Polar Claw's mold.
I'm also amazed that they did a stop-motion animation, with a 100% complete BW Scorponok… With the missiles loaded the entire time! Those things are on a hair trigger, man! o:

That line needs to be on a shirt.

It didn't say anything regarding what you wrote. The joke was that Scorponok was giving reasons to not kill the panda, because he thought Megatron was wrong about it being Maximal, and then it turns out it was. (and the REAL panda is then killed over the same suspicions) A classic gag where the seemingly irrational character is secretly proven right to the audience. Dramatic irony. There was no mention of activism or politics or charities at all, not even an allusion, merely that pandas are endangered. (as well as cute)
But they didn't lecture anyone on anything. You completely flew off the handle over nothing. Nothing you've gone on about was even remotely hinted to in the skit.
My incredulous attitude is not that these issues exist, but that they weren't brought up at all by the skit.

It\'s such a nice surprise to see them do a Beast Wars sketch. As a fan of Robot Chicken, I always like it when they go for a different series to spoof rather than just going for the same ones each time.

XD
They forgot to fold open Scorponok\'s face and that was a neat Polar Claw custom.
And he had to get a YES! in there somewhere!

Also, the reason I even bring up "bordering on politics" is because television tends to skew in the very ultra-liberal direction, so I felt that skit was about to lecture us on how humanity is a plague on animals and the planet! I don't necessarily disagree with that assessment, Robot Chicken, but like I've said with the Simpsons, it's really not your place to lecture your audience with your beliefs!
Oh, and comedians that talk about causes and politics? Yeah, they tend to be on their last legs – reference Carlos Mencia! Robot Chicken is funnier when it covers more everyday topics (imo), like that awesome skit where Skeletor and a bunch of bad guys are carpooling and get stuck in traffic!

All that aside, most people prefer not to know how charities and environmental groups work. You donate money because you care about animals, and that's the end of it. That's fine; don't read what I wrote above. There's a common misconception that world-saving organizations are above scrutiny, and I find that view to have the same passion as any political view.
If the skit told you that the ozone was being destroyed by your driving to work, would that be any less political?
(And yes, I realize the skit really didn't say all that much regarding what I wrote above! I just don't trust charity organizations like I used to, and the mere mention of a charitable cause has me wondering about undocumented, but factual, corruption within said cause!)

I seriously want to hear an uncensored version of this

I always saw it could be good it the animation was trying to look less real. What i mean about that it looked like they tried using technology that they knew wouldnt be real but yet they tried to make it real to the point were it goes to this uncanny valley. This is why i do think there should be an updated version of beast wars.
