Wreck n’ Rule! We are pleased to share with you the announcement of a new IDW Wreckers title. Get ready for IDW Requiem Of The Wreckers.
The title was announced via Nich Roche’s Twitter. Written and drawn by Nick Roche himself, colored by Josh Burcham, and guest artists Guido Guidi and Geoff Senior. We are sure everybody is excited about the third IDW Wreckers title, but this time this isn’t a new mini-series, it’s a double-length one-shot issue.
The image shared on Twitter features an astonishing black & white art, with Verity Carlo and Kup in the center of the clash between Springer and Impactor. A great “One. More. Time” title on top of it. This title is scheduled for release on May 2018.
The Wreckers finale is happening, what will this story bring us? Be sure of a lot of action an unexpected revelations. You can check out the mirrored image after the jump and then sound off on the 2005 Boards!

That…isn't important, okay?

Did he have any better fiction?

I'm still salty about how the IDW-verse did my boy Hubcap. I'll read this anyway, I'm sure it'll rule.
But I'm grumpy.

i can't remember why but i've had the distinct impression for a while now Wreckers was always meant to be a trilogy.
I like it being a one-shot too – quick and brutal and over.
i hope no one survives
i can't wait to ugly cry

I see this as I'm coming out of work, get home and my hardcover Last Stand has finally arrived. I think the universe is telling me it's time to re-read some Wreckers.

I'm pleasantly surprised and glad this is happening before it's all over. IDW was well worth reading if only for this Wreckers trilogy.
Soundwave902
Well, everyone who was constructed cold was deported so, only about half of the characters could appear
MistaTee
I'm wondering if the "reboot" will be everyone goes to the Functionist universe. Anyone who died in the normal universe COULD be alive there.
Heliblade
Kup\'s kinda… dead.
A midquel maybe?
SparkPlug24
Aha! There's the pixie cut that Roche envisioned for Verity in Sins. After reading his Spiderman issues I'm confident in Nick's ability to draw human hair.
Well that's the theme he's been pushing ever since Last Stand. It's gonna come to a head here maybe, after the sequel hook left behind in the last book when Impactor joined Mayhem.

Jeez. Yep, definitely feels like the IDW-verse is heading towards a finale/reboot, doesn't it?
I just hope they give the current titles enough time to wrap up. I don't want a rushed conclusion to MTMTE/LL after 70+ issues.

It may not have been 100% pointless, but it was definitely 110% dumb and cold-hearted. Even moreso when you take into account that Kup's death was forced upon by an (ex-)editor at IDW.
stormflash
Thank you. You just reassured my suspicions that kup's death is just a "plot-pusher", which makes his death really insignificant in my eyes. At least his death wasn't 100% pointless
Uncle Yetibacca
Ok this is freaking amazing ><! I always wanted to see Verity come back, after Sari she's among the best human characters in Transformers.
I was initially surprised in seeing Kup there given he was killed by Virulina (and for that guy asking how he died, magic is poison to Transformers apparently, or at least Visionary magic) but I agree it surely is symbolic.
Now to both of you, I must say that I don't currently wish for a reboot but I wouldn't be entirely opposed either. To be clear, I LOVE the concept of a Hasbro universe, to me the only con with the IDW Hasbroverse is that it was rushed, but I do like it. So I just wanted to say I understand both your points, but I will enjoy this while it last
(And if Hasbro/IDW does reboot, I will move heaven and earth so that my idea for a TF/universe gets done, hey a guy can dream xD)

I need to read Wreckers 2.

Honestly why did they have to kill kup… IDW gave him so much character depth, from spending decades/centuries in the dead universe —> PTSD, his bond with verity etc etc. just to get killed…in a crossover? Like would it not have been more significant if he died in an TF event rather than have him die by a character that doesn't exist in the "tf universe".
(Apparently a "crazy witch thingy" killed him? I didn't read the crossover comic so if someone would be kind enough to fill me in on what happened and if the other tfs (optimus etc) had any reactions at all? Thanks in advance!)
sigh I guess the statement "All good things must eventually come to an end" still rings true.
avengerboy123
A reboot may be the way to go, all of these other crossovers are soling the good stuff.
