Toy Fair 2018 – Transformers Cyberverse Images

We’ve got coverage of the Toy Fair 2018: Transformers Cyberverse display for you.

On show here are:

Scout class: Bumblebee, Starscream, Grimlock, and Megatron
Warrior class: Bumblebee, Optimus Prime, Starscream, and Shockwave
Ultra class: Bumblebee, Grimlock, and Starscream
Ultimate class: Optimus Prime and Megatron

While these were all shown in the official reveal earlier this week, these images give a better indication of the gimmicks for each toy – the Ultra classes, for example, feature molded in rockets and fireblasts that pop out for action features.  The line is very clearly gimmick-oriented, which you get a better feel of in these images.

Not going to buy any sorry not for me. I will say looks like they took Fall of Cybertron Grimlock and gave him a touch up but not quite where i would like to see it. Even Power of the Primes Grimlock suffers from that over all look… With all the Grimlocks around you would think they would give us something abit closer to G1 MP style Grimlock, yes i am okay with a pointy tail over a stub…

So I’m wondering if the Scout figures not have a full alt mode, or whether they’ve just chosen to display them with the action feature. Just realised we’ve not seen anything of the Authentics, or the possible Generations style evergreen figures.

I’m surprised they’ve got the Transformers logo in black on yellow, the same as the Bumblebee movie packaging we briefly saw. Idve thought they’d want to make them more distinct.

Probably because that black and yellow pops so hard to the eye. I honestly like that over the black and red (or at least in equal measure…I like the black and red packaging but to vary it up I'd be totally cool with black and yellow).

These look so… boring. :rolleyes2  The spring-loaded gimmicks? GOD! :banghead:  When will that crap stop… :cry 

Aside from gimmicks, these looks so generic and boring to me. Like Hasbro is playing it TOO safe. I guess I kind of expected a brand new style (a la TF Prime?). I mean, look at TF Prime's Starscream: maybe you like him, maybe you don't, but you FEEL SOMETHING. It's a design!

This Cyberverse line looks like a bad cross of everything safe and G1, somehow missing the mark on both G1 and cartoon (imo). I just think this line screams, "we don't know where to go from here, so… uhhh… keep the course?"

All I wanted was 1 decent Grimlock figure… Ah well. I\'m surprised there isn\'t a warrior class figure of him.

Shockwave looks neat
(Megatron's cannon doesn't look right)
Windblade looks weird, but Bee looks good.
What's with these half-transformed Starscreams tho

..well, this line is an easy skip. Shockwave maybe worth getting and one of the Megs looks good (can\'t tell which it is).

This has to be the hard limit for cutting costs and overcharging, right? I mean, you can't sell less than this for these prices…

Yea this line isn't for me. I thought the Warriors would be cool but they're gimmicked out. Hopefully we see select Cyberverse characters made in the Generations line. I don't mind the character designs themselves.

Im digging most of these to be honest, it’s like the Animated style but with the Blockiness of G1gives it its own unique look.

the gimmicky figures look lackluster but shockwave prime and megs look great!

Are these the original G1 characters in a new continuity or a completely new continuity with completely new characters who just happen to look like the original G1 characters?

OH Shockwave looks even better then the renders…………..gonna need to find a way to disable that stupid gimmick though.

Just realized Cyberverse Bumblebee has a similar if not identical transformation scheme as CW Blackjack.
