Thanks to 2005 Boards member Gaokaiser for reporting that Takara Tomy Website has uploaded the Transformers Legends Web Comic #49.
This time looks like a really interesting story, with a clash between Autobots and Decepticons. We see a lot of G1 characters and the inclusion of Unite Warriors Convoy Grand Prime and even a small cameo of BW Transmetal 2 Megatron.
2005 Boards member PoweredConvoy identified as many characters as he could and here’s a list of the ones we can see in the story: Hauler, Sunstorm, Roadrage, Crosscut, Stripes, Nightstalker, Wing Thing, Enemy, Howlback, Glit, Garboil, Twintwist, Topspin, Runamuck, Runabout, Skyfire, Fireflight, Megaplex, Black Megatron, Hubcap, Slugslinger, Misfire, Triggerhappy, Pointblank, Camshaft, Overdrive, Downshift, Slugfest, Overkill, Seaspray, Beachcomber, Huffer, Brawn, Hound, Starscream, Thundercracker, Soundwave, Skywarp (presumably on the monitor), Blitzwing, Thrust, Dirge, a gray conehead (Ramjet?), Silverbolt, Air Raid, Sideswipe, Red Alert, Stepper, Artfire, Optimus, Megatron, Ironhide, Sunstreaker, Prowl, Mirage, Blaster, Tigertrack, Astrotrain, Ratchet, Cliffjumper, Gears, Caliburst, Hardhead, Highbrow, Repugnus, and Flywheels.
You can check out the mirrored images (only in Japanese at the moment) after the jump and then sound off at the 2005 Boards!

Wow, that Metroplex comic was fantastic. Just goes to show that a great Legends story can easily be told in only 6 manga pages. I absolutely love the updated interpretation of the original G-2 manga. A couple observations:
– Hi-Q is depicted like in the Marvel comics: bald, with white skin (as opposed to green for the American version of the Nebulans) and an oversized visor.
– When Action Master Optimus is standing next to Twincast, he's just a little shorter, and definitely much taller than Hi-Q. So this definitively proves that Action Masters (at least in the Japanese continuity) are much larger than human-sized.
– During G-2, Superion and Bruticus are in their G2 colors, despite those versions not being part of the Japanese toyline. Superion at least will eventually revert back to his original colors post-G-2.
– Slammer and Six-Gun are repurposed as Metroplex's weapons, his pop-out gray arm cannon and his two big red (flying) guns, respectively. The interesting thing is that his two big red guns were shown to have the ability to fly way back at the end of the Metrowars manga written in 2013. We just didn't know that they were actually Six-Gun!
BTW, does anyone have scans of the comics from the Generations 2017 Hero-X book?

I would be careful, if I were you. I'm not sure that the topic (or those words) in your post is allowed for discussion, regards of whatever side your opinion falls upon. It might not even be on topic.

Welcome to Japanese manga!

whoa, on the 7th page I realised I had to follow the sequence from right to left…

There are several Diaclone/Microchange/PreTF paint schemes that haven't been touched yet, and for the life of me I don't know why. Japan doing black Megatron seems to be the most common sense one. Just make sure to do the translucent plastic in blue, keep with that aspect of the original.

I wonder if they'll ever release some chibi figures from these comics? If only the Q-robo TFs were released around this time. They could have evolved the line into chibi figures for Beast Wars, too.
I wanted to get that 2-pack, with the Megatron that had clear red parts, and repaint it into Black Megatron. I wanted to find some small, brass, embossed dragon stickers to decorate parts of the gun mode, to homage BW Megatron, too.

I've been enjoying the Legends comic because they've been focusing on the (sometimes quite zany) characters and events instead of a war and factions, and mixing up the casts to an extreme, which is enormously refreshing.
Megatron as a peaceful mayor, living in Metroplex, with Ultra Magnus as an aide. The adventures of Ravage, the beat cop. Brawns awkward date.

I really love the Legends comics , another fine addition to the weirdest thing to come out of Japanese TF fiction since , since Kiss Players
In fact , with the light ecchi in the Legends series is better than Kiss Players (which is just plain pedophilia) bc it's just there bc…comedy?
Kiss Players only had the weird shit in it bc the author wanted to make "jaws drop" according to TFWiki

That was an action-packed comic! So many callbacks and product placements, heh. Slugslinger (whoops, called him Triggerhappy, I need my morning coffee), quit shooting folks in the back!

about time overkill and slugfest show up in anything. guess they had to let the less cool, less adorable cassettes get theirs first.

I disagree, this makes no sense. If it was like the previous it still makes no sense but I can gain something from it.
