As a lifelong transformers fan, I’ve always dreamt of owning toys that capture their movie appearances perfectly.
Today, I am so happy to share with you a review I made for Prime 1 Studio’s Bumblebee from Transformers The Last Knight. His details are astounding, here I take a close look at the figure and assemble him together. I’m honestly so happy that toys can be so detailed in this time, so excited to share the joy ☺️
FACEBOX
I'm more concerned about Sentinel Prime.
Guess AOE is fading from memory aside from items already produced.
Moy
What ever happened to P1 AOE Bumblebee??
Ultrawave
Honestly, Bee was already probably the most humanoid Autobot aside from Optimus in the first trilogy. Ratchet had weird lanky arms, Ironhide was a squat walking tank. Jazz was pretty close too, but the rest of the Autobots ROTF-DOTM were still pretty humanoid with slightly exaggerated proportions. AoE was when we got REALLY HUMAN looking autobots.

I think the idea was to make his proportions more humanoid, I guess so he fits with the other Autobots a little better, but really it’s more of an obvious fudge than usual. Apart from Daytrader’s incredible shrinking windscreen hat.
User_136440
Was there any difference? They’ve got the new battlemask.
It’s nicely done as ever but as other have said it goes to highlight how unfeasbaly tiny the car front is on the chest, against the new proportions of the rest of the body.
Red Goblin
I guess they got lazy and reused his DOTM head.
SPLIT LIP
I like TLK Bee's design, but holy moly did they just not give a shit about the realism of his TF scheme. Parts out of scale, discontinuity between robot and alt mode details. Remember how in TF1, despite the super complex designs, there was a real attempt to keep as much continuity between modes to make the TFs as convincing as those designs could be? I miss that.
Fallout
haha holy shit, the chest pieces are definitely too small. looks like they belong to a car the size of his leg.
Angry Camaro
Wow!!! This is one beautiful piece of art!!! It's like 98% screen accurate and the attention to detail is fantastic! My only complaint, his shoulder wheels do not feature his screen-accurate rims.
THIS!
His doors are literally cut in half! And no need to go on again about how he still has all the last generation Camaro pieces plus the spoiler from DOTM.
Ultrawave
I think it was probably to make him look bigger (since in previous movies he's been pretty small, but still the tallest of the regular car transformers) so that he didn't look like Optimus could just step on him and win that fight. One of them was definitely either upscaled or downscaled for that sequence.
Furnace
Yeah, that's it! The only question now is why the designers went with such a strange design choice. I mean, if it was to make him look younger or something, it wouldn't make sense at this point in Bee's character growth.
Russian fan
I still wait their AOE Bumblebee statue and Sentinel Prime
Ultrawave
It's definitely the proportions.
The vehicle mode parts are using two different scales. The new chest-bumper and door wings are too small and out of scale when compared to the wheels and Camaro fenders on his thighs.
Furnace
Yeah, something about Bee didn't quite look right in TLK. I think it has something to do with his proportions and how he moves. It was all rather… off.
magicz24
Looks odd? Like a kid wearing a bumblebee costume
Shizuka
Very nice.
However with 3P doing so well these days I don't feel the level of jealously I used to have at not being able to afford these.

Prime 1 studio: \"OK TLK Bumblebee, we\'re gonna make you a statue and also add loads of poses with your sledge hammer and arm cannon included\"
TLK Bumblebee: \"alright, thx \"
Ratchet: \"what about me???? What does mine get????\"
Prime 1 Studio: \"we\'re just gonna have you strike a static Superman pose in your statue, no other pose or weapons included\"
Ratchet: \"FUCK YOU!!!!!!!!!!\"
Black Convoy
Astonishing. All images mirrored in the news post. Thanks for sharing.
